we need to eliminate pensions for public employees until we can fund them responsibly

im fine with people getting pensions, but not when the money that should be improving quality is going to someone who hasnt driven a train in ten years

if the money is there? pay em a fat pension, i dont care. but it IS NOT THERE and the systems are just an absolute mess

why the fukk dont we pay public employees MORE money while they're active, and let them invest in their own retirement like everyone else

There is no poltical will for that in NYC. The unions hold mad power and it would be political suicide to reform pensions. We dont have a pension crisis like Chicago....yet.

This would be perfect for me i live near New Utrecht so this would make life easier. Imagine just taking the X line straight to Queens instead taking a train to the city to transfer to go to Queens.. Alas this isnt a reality.

I was on the "express" 4 from Franklin to Utica this morning and it took 20 some odd minutes to get there and it's suppose to be just one stop. Was better off hopping on the local 3. Then I get up on utica to catch the b26 over to avenue D, pssssh! I seen about 10 b26's going in the opposite direction before one headed to Kings Plaza pulled up.

Man I dread taking the trains again, ever since i got my car I havent taken a train to work since, my commute used to be Q111 to Etrain to bus to laguardia and if you miss that bus now, your assed out...

The worst is getting stuck in the tunnel with that train traffic bullshyt.
