2006-2008.

Averaged 32/6/5(only player to match that 3yr average in modern era is MJ) - 1x MVP - 3x 1st Team All-NBA/Def Team - generally regarded as the best 2-way player on the court during that time. That was the apex of his skill and athletic ability.

2009 on was Wade/Bron/etc

Let's look at this logically from 2000-current

2000 - Shaq
2001 - Shaq
2002 - Shaq
2003 - Duncan
2004 - KG
2005 - Duncan
2006 - Wade
2007 - Lebron
2008 - Lebron
2009 - Wade
2010 - Lebron
2011 - Rozay
2012 - Lebron
2013 - Lebron
2014 - Lebron
2015 - Lebron
2016 - Lebron

:camby: Revisionist history. Wasn't nobody saying LeBron was the best player back in 2007-2010 and we can pull up the SOHH threads to prove it. Just crazy Bron stans. NBA players, legends, sportscasters and basically everyone said Kobe was the best and a lot of attention was on whether he could catch Jordan for #6. LeBron was an afterthought. No different than Harden or Curry or Rose winning the MVP even though LeBron is still the top player in the league now. Anybody telling you different is a LeBron Stan. I remember on SOHH how those LeBron stans used to talk MAD shyt all year then close their accounts out quick five seconds after LeBron got put out the playoffs. nikkas trying to retroactively give Bron a title he didn't have back then because he started winning later (2012 onward). It's like saying Jordan was the best player in the league in the 80s even though it was Magic, Bird and Isaiah dominating.

He won the title in 09 and averaged 30/6/6 in the playoffs and 31 and 7 in the finals. Wade had a better individual year but that had more to do with the fact that his team was trash. There was not a big difference between 08 and 09 Kobe. 09 was still a Kobe/LeBron toss up. 10 onward it's been LeBron.

Kobe probably was the best player in the 2006 and 2007 seasons if we are being real. Though 06 Bron has a strong case for being the best in the league. But in 2007 Kobe had his best case by far I believe even with Dirk winning the MVP.

so nobody was calling bron the best when he destroyed detroit in the 07 playoffs and then was leading the cavs to 60-win seasons with mo williams as his sidekick? :patrice:
