Only fanboys care about the "war" of who's console sells the most.

Nintendo is just fine turning a profit in their own way. Sony has been "winning" the war most of the last 2 decades and is damn there broke. Nintendo been in their own lane all that time and has money to burn.

Stop expecting these companies to think/behave like fanboys

Yeah im willing to concede that argument to you and @Kuwka_Atcha_Ratcha . According to that wiki page you found the sales on, goldeneye sold more individual games than zelda. Couldnt find any other comprehsive listing of sales to challenge thst wiki page, so im more than willing to say you and @Kuwka_Atcha_Ratcha were right and i was wrong.

#FACTS!!!! Nintendo seems like it has no idea how to cultivate good will with 3rd parties because even now after all the zelda comes out, mario the starfox's what other games are people gonna be actually wanting the buy this system for... without 3rd party support your shyt is dead. nintendo's track record and commitments speak for itself it's fukking horrible.

shyt the borderlands 3 developers just vame out abd said nintendo stopped talking to them and so there wont be a birderlands 3 on switch. Weird shyt.

Miyamoto in particular was known for being jealous of Rare when they where given IP's, he hated Donkey Kong Country when it dropped. He probably pushed for Rare to be sold in the first place.

That's why Nintendo keeps a bunch of money. They play their lane correctly regardless of how the fanboy wars perceive them.

Sony/Microsoft doesn't make much money selling hardware. There's a very thin line of profit when you are trying to max graphics and keep costs down. Nintendo drops their cheap ass hardware and relatively cheap to make games, sells less, but turns a good profit.

No they are in touch with their own pockets, and they'd be dumb to chase after Internet forum fanboy advise.

It gets cheaper, but they always want to push the power/graphics.

People complained that the PS4/X1 aren't powerful enough, but those same people probably wouldn't pay $7-$800 for a console.

Then to produce the graphics people expect. It costs more and more money to make the games.

I think Nintendo is smart for not jumping into that fight. Even if i don't buy all their products, somebody is and it seems to work for them

you can't get cheaper when your chasing bleeding edge all the time. The only time you can is with console "slim" versions.

This is why Sony, believe it or not, is actually in a much more shaky position out of the three. They have no choice but to continue the traditional game, they gotta diversify... Something that Nintendo been doing after snes, and Microsoft is trying to do by focusing on W10.

Fanboys look at this shyt as a negative, but business wise its going to happen regardless.

i originally said people bought n64 for goldeneye more than zelda, you said they didn't, then the numbers proved they did. why can't people on this forum just take an L when wrong?

Because they just came off their worst selling home console (excluding the Virtual Boy experiment) of all time and barely managed to sell over 13 million consoles in 4 years.

The PS4 console was profitable day one for Sony launched a year later and has sold over 50 million. The PS4 was also by design not a powerhouse system. I think the line of thinking here is Nintendo can pass on all these gimmicks they try and develop a system that isn't top of the line (because the XBO and PS4 also aren't by design) and still keep up with their competitors. Instead Nintendo deliberately develops these themed gimmick consoles where if the gimmick takes off you have a Wii situation and if it doesn't you have a Wii U.

The only facts that i couldnt refute were sales figures on individual games. It cant be proven that people actually bought the system for golden eye more than they did zelda. Entirely sifferent set of numbers. But since i cant disprove that leap in logic due to the unavailability of data, i conceded the argument.
