What the fukk are you talking about? How old are you? I got a n64 when i was 12. Christmas of 96. Everyone was buying n64s for MARIO 64. Then after that the next biggest system seller was ocarina of time. Game COULD NOT be found christmas of 98. Luckily my mom preordered the gold cartridge edition from EB games .

This. Easily the greatest game of all time.

not worthless, but the researchers will never know more than those that lived it.
It depends on how much of the context they have. If they only have one side of the story, they might come to the wrong conclusion because people involved in an event have a personal investment of time and feelings. That's kind of why people say 'hindsight is 20/20'.

My dream is that someday people will jerk off to chocolate bunnygirl booty in my games, but I hope that the technical features will get people jerking off in a completely different way lol.

I'm 23. I'm also suggesting that wasting space on FMV is such a bad thing that this is why people are complaining about 40+GB installs to this day. Discs hold a lot of data, but they're slow to read and can't be written to, which is why PS games need memory cards.
FMV might have seemed like a bad idea to you, but at the time people thought it was cutting edge shyt. Plenty on N64 games needed a memory card, simply because cartridge space WAS an issue at the time. Nintendo were charging outrageous fees to developers for these games. Some N64 games went for 100$ plus dollars because of how expensive cartridges were and developers were having a hard time fitting the games on them.
Think about what kinds of things they wasted that space on, if Resident Evil 2 fit on an N64 cart just fine (with higher resolution textures and the exact same music, no less). Wasted resources are the bane of the user
Resident evil release on 64 years after release after Nintendo developed a cartridge that held more space, which were even more expensive.

N64's Resident Evil 2 port fit both scenarios, all the music, and all the FMV into around 64 MB of ROM space. That's an order of magnitude less than two CDs (~1.4GB) and still featured a slight graphical improvement.

I do remember the N64 having memory paks due to possibly insufficient space on the cart to store a savegame, but not every savable game needed them. We remember games like FF7 and the like for their stories and gameplay, not their FMVs, even though it was a neat novelty at the time to go with said gameplay.
