Some folk put all their faith into the American system. They're like the wife who stays will the abusive husband hoping he will change one day.

I remember my aunt and other voting ass nikkas when Obama first got in office telling me that "We live in a post-racial society" and how MLK's dream and ambitions were all fulfilled in Obama being president and bringing change. Fast forward to one president later and all that shyt they wuz popping went up in flames and crashed and burned head-first into the ground.

It's like that with most candidates when they're in office their supporters are on cloud nine but when a candidate they don't like is in all of a sudden it's the end of the world. It doesn't really make much of a difference imo. Just a facade.
