NYC Brehs: No more stop and frisk

And again, spare me the condescending chatter about taking off some victim veil. Just like that comment about "free Tony Yayo," you don't know a damn thing about my views, opinions, or stances on...anything besides stop-and-frisk.

whatever man..lets just look at one glaring fact that even the judge said. out of 8,000,000 stops in the 11 years of stop and frisk, only 1.5% resulted in weapons seizures.

thats 120,000 weapons (knives and guns)

less than 0.2% have resulted in illegal guns.

thats 16,000 guns.

so 9 out of 10 have been inconvenienced with a stop and frisk, but of those 9 that were innocent, a good 3 or 4 of them would most likely have been victims of that 10th if we keep following statistics because, statistically, those crimes stay in those very same bad neighborhoods anyway.

call me dumb, but i rather be inconvenienced with a stop and frisk than have a gun put to my face or a knife to my throat.

i do understand that it is racial profiling and people of color are sick of that happening. i get that. shyt does not matter though. 16,000 guns taken off the streets by stop and frisks > 7.2 million people being bothered with a stop and frisk and losing 10 to 15 minutes of their day.

i got stopped and frisk not even 2 months ago. my dominican ass got out of a cab in front of my building tipsy as fukk and not bothering anybody, and 4 white boys hopped out of a yellow taxi cab and stopped me and frisked me. asked me for ID, i showed it to them. it had my address and i told them i was coming home from a party. they said i looked like somebody they been looking for, saw that it wasnt me. let me go on my way. shyt didnt even last 5 minutes. big fukking deal.

my whole point is, and none of you can say im wrong about this, NOBODY is as happy about stop and frisk being ended as the thugs and criminals that fukk up our streets to begin with.

the problem is that you can catch a bullshyt charge off it, and for that reason people get put in the system. u cant justify someone gettin caught with a dimebag or some shyt who has now been processed by the court, because of stop and frisk

if the only thing that was admissible from stop and frisk was guns then . itd be effective. itd still be a fukked up way to live tho, i cant even comment on that feeling of being targeted by the cops like that

yea thats another issue tho. i personally think weed should be legal and bullshyt drug charges shouldnt result in any jailtime at all, but until that gets changed they gonna be collateral damage. my brothers have both been cuffed cause of weed after a stop and frisk. shyt sucks but its the city we live in breh.

16,000 guns taken off of the street and yet the number of shootings hasn't budged in a decade. So no, stop-and-frisk really hasn't done much to keep us safe, at least if you're worried about being shot.

I'd bet it they wouldn't have made a major difference. Leaving aside whether or not the confiscated weapons get replaced, I find that hard to believe that, everything else staying the same, there would be more shootings with these guns still around when violent crime has continued to drop over the past 10 years.

As for stopping more whites, it couldn't hurt, especially when they're more likely to be carrying weapons and drugs than minorities.
