they all do. But thats about his policy. his messaging should appeal to the people that have the ability to get rid of him. most politician can at least lie better. this man really believes his message will resonate with the people
I'm not going to say all but the vast majority do well over 90%.

But I literally can and be just as productive
The funniest thing to me is acting like people in offices are more productive without all the distractions. Most people in offices is bullshytting around most of the day anyway and talking to other coworkers. If somebody is going to slack they're going to slack no matter the location. Between real estate going unused and middle management being shown to be unnecessary it's leading to these corporations and managers wanting people back in the offices.

guess he got a reality check

This is bullshyt :russ:

He's not facing a shortage of municipal workers

I work for the City...every City agency is more or less only getting 10 hires PER MONTH

And OMB has to sign off on these hires and they're not because of HIS budget and policies.

The shortage is because of his dumbass inability to realize that the first thing that needed to happen post-Deblasio was to FILL ALL VACANCIES

There are hundreds of applicants for some of these jobs....HUNDREDS

And they're not six figure jobs either, some of these are just regular degular administrative positions that require you to know how to use MS Office and send emails.

And I have'nt even touched on how many Civil Service lists grinded to a halt during Covid (because of Dumblasio) and are just NOW getting hiring pools

Why are people so thirsty to still work at home?

It was one thing during the height and prime moments of COVID-19 but we're way past that now, and by that I mean yeah sure covid still around but it definitely ain't like it was during it's prime weeks and months.

Working from home was never meant to be a permanent thing so I don't understand why people are appalled at the idea of going back to work in an office, sit inside a cubicle, etc (if that's the kind of job they are working) when that's what they've been doing prior to the pandemic.

Bosses and managers aren't fans of working from home because they can't keep tabs on you, which is understandable as a person could be slacking at home and not working the days and hours they're supposed to be working but will mark themselves as doing so.
Because I can wake up half an hour before I need to start working, don't have to commute, don't have to dress up, can cook my own meal, don't have to play along with stupid office politics and gossip and when I'm done, I just switch off my laptop and then do whatever the fukk I want. That saves me at least three hours a day.

My job insisted on us coming back to the office late 2021 and early 2022. Then Putin invaded Ukraine, energy prices went through the roof and all of a sudden they told us to stay home to save money on heating and electricity :mjlol:

1st Round Playoff Exits
I was shocked at our quarterly town hall meeting earlier this week. Someone brought up the topic and our executives brought up that before Covid they didn't believe in working from home. Since the company kept rolling along though they feel they were proven wrong and decided to leave the choice up to employees on if they wanted to come back to the office. They have no plans on forcing anyone back into the office. They actually start closing some of the offices. I expected them to be like my old company and force everyone back in to the office.
The smart companies pivoted already got rid of their leases.

But big picture thinking for a second here.

If companies get rid of their “offices” in places like NY and go remote.

What’s stopping them, from relocating their hq to a more tax friendly state, while everything is remote.

Like I noticed a lot of tech companies have hq’s In Colorado. There has to be some sort of tax exemption there.

Not only that but they are also going to start hiring more in markets with lower COL so they don't have to pay as much out in salaries. I think that's part of the fear of places like NYC, LA, San Diego, and San Fran. No reason to keep jobs in those cities when you can hire someone remotely and pay 50K less for the same job.

I know when I was looking for a job Wells Fargo was in the process of moving a lot of their jobs from Cali to STL, Richmond, and Charlotte for that very reason.

There are some huge dominos in place. A lot of companies moving their HQ from NYC which fukks the corporate real estate holders. With jobs leaving it could lead to more people moving away from NYC since the remote salaries won't be as much as working in NYC. So now that's a lot of salary and taxes leaving the city as well.
