You know how you view things differently as an adult when you know how the world functions? Who was buying Bart and Lisa all these plane tickets to visit these celebrities? Krusty was broke. How did they have all this extra time? Why were they allowed to fly unsupervised? How do you get that close to a celebrity? They aren’t allowing random kids into the gates of the Playboy mansion.

anytime I see buildings getting destroyed in superhero movies. I think " who's gonna pay for all this property damage?:mjtf:".

A CEO saying this is one thing, a mayor saying it some goofy shyt
What is he scared he might have to actually adapt and create policies and opportunities for the city to generate money in other ways? fukk he thought he was gon run that police state on autopilot
thats exactly what he wanted to do so he could then run for higher office.

That's the excuse they give the public its all about protecting these corps and there skyscrappers they spent millions on

This and the city isn't bringing in the amount of revenue it once one. Even if I brought lunch to work, every morning I stopped for coffee and a bagel from somewhere. The times I drove in on a Friday because I was going upstate after work, I can't tell you how many tickets I've received because of rush hour traffic. Do you know how many people buy nips of wine in Penn Station on a Friday before their long train ride home? The city and these corps are feeling it.

I kinda see the point. Long-term, too many people on WFH will mess up a lot of things. Human interaction is important. You gotta do networking, meet new people, get exposed to different ideas, smash a coworker or two, find new places when out and about...

But let's be real, with that kind of commute and general bullshyt in NYC of all places? Good luck trying to put that genie back in the bottle.

When you treat adults like children you do more damage than any of thr abortion

Not only that but they are also going to start hiring more in markets with lower COL so they don't have to pay as much out in salaries. I think that's part of the fear of places like NYC, LA, San Diego, and San Fran. No reason to keep jobs in those cities when you can hire someone remotely and pay 50K less for the same job.

I know when I was looking for a job Wells Fargo was in the process of moving a lot of their jobs from Cali to STL, Richmond, and Charlotte for that very reason.

There are some huge dominos in place. A lot of companies moving their HQ from NYC which fukks the corporate real estate holders. With jobs leaving it could lead to more people moving away from NYC since the remote salaries won't be as much as working in NYC. So now that's a lot of salary and taxes leaving the city as well.

Yea it doesn't work this way in reality.
