My husband is an appliance whore but I refuse to buy em and take up precious counter space. He wants a keurig just to make cold tea, apple cider, and hot cocoa.

I did just buy a ninja pro series at a great price ($179 @ walmart) :noah:

Ninja pro series?? :dwillhuh: that sounds serious

I've been craving black coffee with no cream/sugar..this Keurig thing isn't half bad :ehh:

I'm such a housewife when it comes to these appliances. Yall should have seen me in the cleaning isle just salivating over the newest floor steamers and fancy vacuums :russ:

Smoothies are awesome and we made salsa and guac last night to go with dinner.

I want a fancy vacuum, somehow I've convinced myself that old besty isn't any good anymore and I HAVE to have an $800 one.

Yay!! Gimme the recipe!! Please.
Vanilla cupcakes. First you need to gather up all of your ingredients, you will need 3/4 cup unsalted butter 1 3/4 cups sugar 2 large eggs 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 2 1/2 cups flour 1 1/4 cups milk 1 lb confectioners' sugar 1/4 cup half-and-half 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract, Directions: 1 Preheat oven to 375°F. 2 In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Add in the eggs, two teaspoons vanilla, salt and baking powder. Add flour and milk in batches, starting and ending with flour. Stir until batter is smooth and satiny. 3 Fill paper-lined muffin tins with batter. Bake at 375° for 18- 20 minutes. 4 For frosting, whip together the box of confectioners' sugar, half-and-half, and one teaspoon vanilla until smooth and fluffy. 5 Allow cupcakes to cool about 45 minutes and frost. 6 *HINT* I added about one extra teaspoon of vanilla to the batter. 7 This recipe didn't specify, but I used all-purpose flour. 8 To the frosting, I added a bit more half-and-half to reach a thinner consistency.

Chocolate Cupcakes
2 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 cup and 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

1/8 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup and 1 teaspoon butter, softened

2-1/4 cups white sugar

3 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1-1/2 cups milk

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a muffin pan with paper or foil liners. Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa and salt. Set aside. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well with each addition, then stir in the vanilla. Add the flour mixture alternately with the milk; beat well. Fill the muffin cups 3/4 full.
Bake for 15 to 17 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean. Frost with your favorite frosting when cool.
