Aaannnd I'll be watching Scandal promptly at 10pm. I may hold my biography of Malcolm X while I'm watching it so I know it's real.
You think I'm not glued in while listening to some dikk Gregory on youtube. fukk with me lol!

Yeah that was waaaaayyy too easy.I didn't buy how it was so easy to deflect entirely away from Olivia because of that random ass footage of the aide talking about being attracted to the president while she was drunk
Episode was everything other than that though. EVERYTHING. Especially when Joe Morton went in at the beginning![]()

Season 3: Episode One
Within the first five minutes of the show, I knew that the season premiere would live up to the hype.
Rowan may end up being one of my favorite characters. The delivery of his dialogue was superb. So, 'Doughnut Girl' was sent to shoot Jake. Hmm...It does make sense considering Jake knew/knows too much and his services were no longer required.
Vice President Sally Langston is a mess. I enjoyed seeing the cracks that lie beneath that 'holier than thou' facade.
I can't help but snicker at Mellie playing the victim. It's like hon, you stood by and allowed your husband to cheat on you to garner the position of 'The First Lady' and maintain it. I will never be okay with one committing infidelity, but I will also not paint Mellie as some sweet, dutiful wife who had no idea about what was going on.
In other words, Mellie...

The plan to tell the truth was ridiculous. I understand that Olivia was ready to move on but it was like...

We all know how Cyrus is the quintessential frenemy, but this time around he did try to do all that he could before he sent the goons to delve into Olivia's past.
Harrison..

That's how you do it! All the other Gladiators being indecisive when not only is Olivia's livelihood at stake, but so is theirs?

I. Can't.

Fitz and Mellie playing a game of![]()
imo will be the driving force behind this season. They are both so full of shyt, especially Fitz. He says he wanted to 'free' Olivia from Mellie hanging that dark cloud over her head, but the price of her freedom would have been at the expense of her reputation both personally and professionally. It's like Monica Lewinsky could find a cure for every Autoimmune disease, yet she will always have that scarlet letter on her for having sexual relations with Clinton.
The other lady being labeled as the mistress was interesting. I think we all knew from Harrison's early in the episode conversation with Cyrus that they would have someone else attached to that scandal.
Very excited to see how it all plays out.
The ruler's back!! Welcome back man.
Rowan was great! "Come hell or high water and I am hell AND high water". Say that, daddy!
Did you peep her go into a safe and speak in some secret code authorization shyt? I love her connections on this show. Did you also peep how Cyrus had to get his clearance upgraded before he could view that CIA file. When Rowan was talking about power to Olivia, that's what he must have meant. CIA having higher authorization than the chief of staff? Craaaazzyy!
Thanks for the compliment.
Rowan is such a strong character. I love Cyrus but this episode he got his ass verbally handed to him by the VP and to top it all off as you mentioned, it was reiterated that Rowan's power may be limitless. Last season we found out that Rowan was pulling Cyrus's strings in an effort to drive a wedge between Olivia and Fitz. I think for this season it is much of the same, but showing Cyrus that file first seems to be a manipulation for him to not look at Fitz with stars in his eyes.
LOL Cyrus was like "The trunk was comfortable". I nearly peed my pants when I thought James was dead. I would have probably cried.
I like Sally Langston this episode too. She delivered the religious low blow basically calling Cyrus' lifestyle demonic and having pity for their poor baby...lil religious thug. I loved it. "I don't say anything about you taking it up the ass so you don't have to talk about my Jesus"
And how bad does Fitz look to her with Mellie and Cyrus pulling that shyt? He look like a straight up liar.
