So I've been thinking about marriages (something I read on here made me think of it)

My parents just celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary last month. A couple of months ago, one of my aunts (p) and uncles celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary, and my grandparents (p) are going to celebrate their -- wedding anniversary this friday. (maybe 69th?)

I'm just thinking about how I've always seen married people, and this thought of "why get married" or "what's the point of getting married" or "marriage is just a paper" seems weird to me.

* there's more married people in my family, but I don't care to ask my dad about how long my aunts and uncles have been married.
