Season 3: Episode 9
So, after a small hiatus we are back with Quinn duck tapped by Huck in an effort to teach her a lesson. I was wondering where this was going to go considering that Katie Lowes is among the elite cast members. So, we all know that she wasn't going to die but she would have to suffer some kind of pain for her stupidity.
When Huck decided to pull her teeth as punishment, I immediately thought of the show Alias and the premiere episode when Jennifer Garner's character found herself in a pickle and something similar happened to her.
Anyways, I was expecting Huck to be somewhere in the shadows when Charlie came through. I knew there had to be something more about to go down because Huck wouldn't have just left her there binded.
Moving on, the least surprising part of this episode was finding out that Mama Pope was the culprit. I don't get why was there no questioning of how she was able to escape. I understand that it's a shock to them that she's alive, especially Olivia, but to just go hardcore on protecting this woman without finding out more was odd to me.
Oh Cyrus...
James and his double entendre's were hilarious. I was glad that he had his moment in verbally destroying Cyrus, but alas it was only just a moment. Cyrus telling him that he wouldn't bust a grape if he worked at Welch's was too much. James did try to hold on to that moxie by packing his bag but all it took was an 'I'm sorry.' It's like come on James, listen to some Tay or something.
The confrontation between Jake and Fitz was okay. However, we get it, they both want to be Olivia's hero. Still not sure how Jake became a gladiator but okie doke.
The biggest shocker is V.P. Sally Langston killing her husband, Daniel Douglas. I was not expecting that twist, mainly because while Sally was obviously trying to mask her hurt after Cyrus dropped the bombshell on her, she did win that exchange.
Of course thinking back to all that occurred within the episode, Sally was in a position where I can understand (not excuse) her snapping. To run for the main office, she had to kick her morals to the side, she is running up against a man who has been her boss, and she had a husband that was overt with his attention to others. On top of that, she ended up finding out that said husband did more than flirt and actually cheated and was living on the down low, something that totally clashed with her beliefs.
This episode was kind of all over the place, but still enjoyable. I look forward to part two of the winter finale.

I hate her so much. I hope Poppa Pope finishes her off before she destroys anything else. Toxic heffa.
I honestly didn't see the whole momma Pope being a terrorist thing coming until the very last possible moment. I'm ashamed :disappointed:
