Are myself and @Malta really the only people in this thread who think you probably shouldn't be moving major pieces like Ibaka from a team who was one win away from the finals...especially when said player has been money pretty much his whole career against a team you know you will have to play in the playoffs, the spurs...?
I can only hope they plan to flip Erysan some sort of way...cause if they go into the season with Erysan and a rookie at the 4...instead of Ibaka...then
It means he's still a young player who has shown improvement in an area of weakness after every season, which leads you to believe he is developing into a good shooter. Good enough not to kill OKC's offense anyway.
And I agree they probably didn't NEED to move Serge...I would've given it one more try next season. But by many accounts he was unhappy with his role in OKC and wanted out, so they chose to get max value for him instead of watching him walk away for nothing

The 2 parts in bold are false. He can't shoot, and Illyasova's services weren't going to be retained. We lost nothing there.
Reading this thread it's obvious as fukk people didn't watch him play this year. He was benched because of how badly he was hurting the offense early the season and the Magic went on a big time run before falling off badly after everyone got hurt and never recovering because Skiles is a god awful coach.
