:martin: they were already a championship team
if KD aint choke games 6 & 7 they would have won the finals
they clearly didnt lose to GSW cuz they were a better team
they lost cuz of poor execution and KD was a big part of that
How did KD choke game 6 and 7?

And no team is winning a title with Andre Roberson as their starting SG with Dion Waiters as their backup PG

Does ANYONE have a quick take on why Orlando makes this trade?

It feels awful. Is this part of a move where they then trade Ibaka for Love next or something? Because I have a hard time seeing anything redeemable for the team in it.

I think Oladipo has been underperforming. and so they're scraping the project... but if Durant/Westbrook

can reform Dion Waiters then the sky is the limit for Olidipo playing in OKC..

- Orlando needed to chose between Oladipo or Payton going forward (they can't play together, which is why Oladipo ended up coming off the bench)
- Orlando needed a rim protector/defensive big to play alongside Vucevic
- Gives Orlando's young wing/guard players more reps to grow
- Gives Orlando more lineup versatility on offense and defense

All in all it's a good trade for the Magic.

Orlando's GM needs to be fired. You can't give up both Harris and Dipo for trash ass players for no reason other than you can. :francis:

Going into the beginning of last season they had a core, and all they really needed was one their many young player who would eventually turn the corner and become an all-star, and it was clearly going to happen. Now you fukk the core up and stunt the growth of your players by allowing this bullshyt
Ibaka's not trash and he's just want the Magic needed - a defensive big who can stretch the floor. He's exactly what they've been missing. Oladipo was never gonna work out in Orlando with how the last two seasons went, especially since he doesn't have the ability to handle a #1 offensive load. I don't like Payton's game, but they needed to make a decision between the two.

Yeah, and Oladipo was in Hezonja's way.

Kanter is one of the worst defenders in the league :ld:

Sabonis isn't going to be ROTY :wtf:
haven't read through the entire thread but the blasphemous shyt being said is :russ: At center for your western conference champions OKC Sabonis :mjlol:
Magic got ripped off thunder made a dumb move go from 5 min up 12 from the finals to trading one of your key pieces for two players who haven't played a meaningful minute in the league and a rookie :francis: AGAIN:skip:

Even if the they don't make any more notable moves post-this trade, I still see them coming out better for it. No one player on their current squad is going to replace Ibaka's defensive impact and versatility (that much is a given). But they have more than enough pieces collectively to soften the blow - this will be reliant upon Durant spending more minutes at the 4 - with a lineup of Westbrook/Oladipo/Roberson/Durant/Adams closing out games.
:sadcam: the spacing breh that shyt wouldn't even work on 2k :trash:lineup
