Ibaka has fallen off big time. He's the sole reason GSW came back on OKC. His defense isnt great anymore, doesnt get any blocks anymore. Gets no offense rebounds because he stands at the perimeter all position. Okc knows Ibaka is past his prime.
It's not entirely his fault he's no longer a 4 in this league. He played primarily most of his minutes chasing undersized players. Basically takes away his best aspects. With how we defend now it was obvious we would move on

@Blackthoughts ayo Asian thoughts

what does that Durant guy think? His relationship with Ibaka never existed anywhere really than on the court, and both with Durant and Westbrook, Ibaka was often a target of on-court rebuking. The Thunder stars were often frustrated with Ibaka’s mental mistakes, with the heated arguments breaking out in huddles regularly. Durant is a team player, and defends anyone wearing the same jersey as him, but behind the scenes he was always open to moving Ibaka. In the summer of 2013, Durant spent a week working out with Kevin Love, and told some close to him he’d trade Ibaka for Love.

I'm interested seeing Serge on a different team. He can fit on any team but he's limited as hell on offense so I'm interested in how the Magic use him & how much they put on him. Unless he's playing center his blocking suffers though just because of how the league is moving with stretch 4s everywhere.

Thunder have to find another 4 somewhere though because this makes a bigger hole than they've had at shooting guard really. Ilyasova/Sabonis/Collison/McGary won't get it done since the only one there I trust is Collison who shouldn't be playing any type of regular minutes anymore.

Does ANYONE have a quick take on why Orlando makes this trade?

It feels like some straight-up retarded shyt. Is this part of a move where they then trade Ibaka for Love next or something? Because I have a hard time seeing anything redeemable for the team in it.

The Magic needed a rim protector and Serge addresses that need. Depo's replacement Evan Fornier averaged 15.4 ppg.... Victor average 16 ppg. The magic have another young back up at SG in Mario that can shoot the lights out of the ball from overseas who needs more court time to develop. Fornier makes more sense to keep over Vic if your point guard for the future is going to Elfrid Payton... The two players are incompatible on the court at the same time because neither one of them can consistently shoot.

Illysova's was not going to be on the team next year. The Magic have one of the best young centers in the game, but I would've liked to keep Sabonis. It is what it is.

How did KD choke game 6 and 7?

And no team is winning a title with Andre Roberson as their starting SG with Dion Waiters as their backup PG
games 6 trying to be a hero and was clearly off
he could have played within the game plan instead of putting up horrible shots and panicking
game 7 basically the same except he played much better
if russell did what he did in games 6 & 7 the media would have killed him
but since its KD they let it slide

Horrible trade,

Magic drafted Andrew Nicholson stapled to the Bench will sign elsewhere
Magic drafted oladipo three years ago gone
Magic drafted Aaron Gordon will be a backup

Payton is trash , and hezonja couldn't even steal minutes from Evan fournier

- Orlando needed to chose between Oladipo or Payton going forward (they can't play together, which is why Oladipo ended up coming off the bench)
- Orlando needed a rim protector/defensive big to play alongside Vucevic
- Gives Orlando's young wing/guard players more reps to grow
- Gives Orlando more lineup versatility on offense and defense

All in all it's a good trade for the Magic.
