Wouldn't surprise me if it ends up an '01 Sixers/Lakers type series. Sixers actually hung in there for several of those games (not that 10-point Ls as opposed to 25 point blowouts is a worthwhile moral victory) but it was just clear the talent gap couldn't be overcome once LAL "woke up" from the game 1 shocker. I could see similar for the next 3 games in this series.
That series was closer than people remember. Like even game 2 with Kobe/Shaq playing well was close down the stretch the Sixers fukked up their free throws.
Game 3 the lakers were up 1 with 47 seconds remaining before the Classic Horry 3
Home court shouldn't factor in either team. They're finalists. This is the championship, and BOTH teams have won road games before. This "stealing" a game when both teams have reached this far shouldn't play in. What should play in is how comfortable or loose the Pacers are going to play in Indiana, because as of right now, OKC has dominated the majority of this series. Out of 96 game time minutes, Pacers only had a lead for a total of TWO MINUTES out of 96 and 95.7 of those two minutes was from Game 2!
I know exactly the play you're referring. SGA had the ball and he 1st DIRECTED Caruso to move. It was an actual set play, but SGA is so much a magnet of attention, the defense was too focused on him rather than how to defend the whole team on the floor.
