like i said, there are a handful of people who go straight from HS to the pros, one and done isn't the issue. most kids still need some league/play between HS and the NBA, and that's still mostly done thru college. they need a viable paid league between the two, removing one and done is some faux bone to throw complainers without actually doing anything to truly remove the free labor system of the NCAA
Gospel
In reality out of the 100’s of kids that have been one and done how many have actually transcend to super star status, or at the very least a contributor, not many because we can name a few can’t miss that if they were trying to throw a tic tac in the ocean would still miss, a lot of these kids so used to gunning, they hardly have a skill to fall back on when now suddenly they aren’t the only 6’7 nikka or them grown men start bodying they 200 lb skinny selves
It’s cool they lifting the rule, but foolishly kids will thick they got the juice and forgo college and end up jettisoned out the league in 3 years
Some of these kids need to learn a structured offense/defense, some basic skills ( i remember coach cal said he forced Anthony Davis to develop dribbling skills or something, because he used to always shoot, the point being some coaches recognize weaknesses and force you to develop) hell put on weight, develop post moves, grown into their damn bodies
Is the ncaa the best option, no, but it’s the only one currently
