unless they turn this shyt around, I'll be done with it well before September. Been on it heavy since the beta on X1 but I've had more downs than ups with it lately and this shyt could be the nail in the coffin.

How could you play it for this long.

No shade, but i just don't understand it. You been doing the same shyt since the beta. What makes you keep playing it?

I don't know if this is accurate because I don't keep up with Destiny, but did you see that the new expansion supposedly costs $40.
So if you bought the core game for $60, plus the season pass $20 (I think), now you have to pay an additional $40, for a total of $120 for the "Full Destiny experience"?
Meanwhile a game like Diablo 3 continues to add content years after its release for free. Sure, when reaper of souls dropped it was an expansion, but it included the first game and was a one time thing. They don't hit you with the cost of a season pass, microtransactions, and then an additional price for more levels. They just keep adding content to reaper of souls.

when you put it like this ......

damn they got my ass :sadcam:

This is why I get upset at hype and people following the crowds, They literally told you this was the route they were going to take from day one. And it would have been ok if it worked much like WoW and MMO expansion that where large, shook up the worlds and changed and added classes. Instead its just a big dlc expansion.

Not only that they pretty much killed off a whole section of potential players when they acted like it was PS4 only, friends that played destiny on xb1? :mjlol: It should have had cross play or something (I dont know if the tech for that even exist honestly )

So now you pushing dlc, while slowly choking off a whole audience.

Terrible...

Destiny will always have a crowd I think, and maybe one day a huge expansion will drop that makes it work it...but for now:camby:

Bungie Responds to the Outcry Surrounding The Taken King Pricing and Collector’s Edition

In the weekly update for Destiny, Bungie has responded to a fury of complaints stemming from developer Luke Smith’s interview with Eurogamer discussing the upcoming expansion, The Taken King. The basic story is that Smith didn’t come across very well when responding to why the only way for Destiny players who already owned both expansions (The Dark Below and House of Wolves) to get some exclusive Collector’s Edition content (emotes, shaders, and weapons) was to purchase the $80 Collector’s Edition. The edition which is made up of the same game and expansions they have already bought.

The base expansion, The Taken King, costs $40 on its own, which is double that of previous expansions. There were lots of complaints as to why the content wasn’t being sold separately for those who already own Destiny, and paid for the two expansions, instead of having to repay for all of it. Smith’s response was less than ideal.

If I fired up a video right now and showed you the emotes you would throw money at the screen.

In today’s update, Smith apologizes, stating,

Reading my interview with Eurogamer and imagining it came from some random developer of a game I love – that random developer looks like an Asshat. But that Asshat was me – and those words rightfully anger you. I’m sorry. My words made it sound as if Bungie doesn’t care about their most loyal fans. We do care. We are listening. And we will make it right.

So in response, Bungie is working on making the digital content from that Collector’s Edition a separate $20 bundle, and available to those who have already purchased The Taken King. For those who have already purchased the Collector’s Edition, Bungie just says, “we’ll have some additional information for you soon.”

Thankfully, Bungie is actually listening to player feedback, and providing a way for those players to purchase the content separately. Whether or not it is worth the $20 price tag is yet to be seen, but in the meantime purchase a Red Bullfor more Destiny content!

$40 for The Taken King, and $20 for the extra stuff on the side that comes with the complete edition. Essentially, if you already own Destiny and the previous expansions you pay $60 instead of $80.

Traded that trash in after the first two months. It was obvious they sold a half game to sell us in bits and pieces later.
