Facts. I’ve thought the same every time I’ve bought Laker tix the last 5-6 years. Never had to worry about that growing up.
Never, lately any game I've gone to has been last minute purchased day of so I know what I'm getting

Teams legislated pride away by going all-in on load management. They told their own players it's more important to stay healthy than to compete until the playoffs. That's why you get half assed effort in ASGs now.
When guys signed up for the Olympics there was a bunch of talk about not being able to rest for the summer instead of celebrating playing in the Olympics.
And as I've said before, the NHL has the same schedule as the NBA. Their top players are out there every night unless they're really injured. They do not do rest days and their guys still have long careers.
NHL has a point system so literally every game matters because you could have more losses than one team but still get points if those losses were in an overtime game therefore pushing you ahead. while the NBA has just wins and losses you get way more lead way with that especially because typically if a team reaches 44-48 wins they are making the playoffs so you get more room for error.
Literally the only part of the game ESPN is showing in this exact clip are players fighting, but you wanna act like I’m pulling some shyt out of thin air like it has absolutely nothing to do with anything regarding why ESPN had PK Subban talking about the NBA and why the US/Canada game blew up
You got it man, as always your word is gospel
So PK hasn’t watched basketball consistently since 2016, that’s 9 years ago and he’s comfortable giving his take?
He has a valid point as far as pride. Which I think most of us can agree with.
The reason the NHL 4 Nations Cup went viral is because of the players fighting, that’s what got ppl to tune in and start talking about it. Then what happened is people start using that to shyt on the NBA
If those fights don’t happen, that shyt doesn’t go viral just like every other thing the NHL does and ESPN doesn’t bring a hockey player who doesn’t even really watch the NBA to compare the two sports
It’s not hard to see why it’s relevant in this discourse
NHL definitely in the last 10 years most definitely has legislated physicality out of the game, fighting is all but gone and you cant hit above the neck anymore even by accident....theyve taken out almost all hitting thats not against the boards..
NHL did the same thing the NFL did because they were afraid about CTE lawsuits from ex players....
The NHL has had a bigger viewership decline this season than the NBA.
Bro right .
4 nations popped because the players gave a fukk apparently
The old head generation need to age out/put out into pasture because it’s not like they’re in the top 5 convo now anyway
this is lies the game was on abc and USA vs CANADA always is a big draw esp with the tarrifs and trump trying to annex even made it more
PK Subban was drafted in 2009 and made $78 million in career earnings.
Ricky Rubio was drafted in 2009 and made $130 million
Blake Griffin was drafted in 2009 and made over $250 million
Jrue Holiday was drafted in 2009 and made over $280 million so far
Maybe NHL guys should care about their money because I'm not even including Curry or Harden here.![]()
….
I read this was the most watched non playoff NHL game in the U.S. since 2011, this clearly wasn’t normal numbers by any means
I think for sure the real life political tensions added to it though, not denying that
