Man, the NBA has a LeBron problem—but no one wants to say it. Breh is not a legitimate competitor like that, let alone hyper-competitive like greats of the past. He ushered in this era of player-empowerment, team stacking, etc. and the product has suffered tremendously for it. If LeBron was in the ASG really hooping on some, “I’m leaving here with something,” shyt, the other players would fall in-line. Everybody knows that. Yet Bron isn’t that guy. He’s the exact opposite (i.e., sat out last minute). Even if he had played, he would have been going thru the motions at half-speed. shyt, I remember Kobe yelling at LeBron for passing up a potentially big-time shot in the final moments of an ASG. I think it was in Orlando.

Are all of the product issues his fault? No. There’s been rule changes and Silver being an incompetent and feckless commissioner has exacerbated the issues. Are all of the culture issues LeBron’s fault? No. With that being said, LeBron is a GOAT—however—he’s the originator of a lot of the cultural issues in today’s game. He’s the league’s leader. He’s the guy the other plays look to and take their cues from. When they were debating cancelling the season after George Floyd, he was the guy that all the players wanted his input. If he was out there diving for loose balls on some Kobe shyt during the ASG, the games would be different.

:mjlol:BRON SAYS 1V1 ISNT REAL BASKETBALL
BECAUSE HES NOT GOOD AT IT
AND NOW WE GOT FOLLOWERS
WHO'VE BEEN PLAYING 1V1
SINCE CHILDHOOD AGREEING WITH HIM.

YET PPL WANNA PRETEND
BRON DOESN'T HAVE THE POWER
TO INFLUENCE STARS TO STOP
COMPETING IN THE DUNK CONTEST
AND PLAYING HARD IN THE ASG.

THE LEAGUE GOES AS BRON GOES.

PK’s take also doesn’t mention the Windhorst in the room which is the racial aspect of NHL players fighting compared to NBA players. The NBA has been fighting an image “issue” since the 70s in the US and we know why. If you’re old enough to remember the Malice, then you remember the national outrage. Fighting and enforcers were taken out the game cause they were seen as making the NBA the “thug league”.

NHL players can fight all the time cause it’s a primary white league that doesn’t hold the cache within US culture like the NBA, so it can skate by with little to no issue.
Very true. Acting obtuse about how the black players had been viewed compared to can hockey players is being intentionally ignorant and will highlight where your stance is REALLY coming from. And even some aspects I can agree on, but the path to which he arrived at it don’t sit right with me. I also don’t really listen to dudes that have that “All my friends are white” speech impediment. It’s almost like a lisp. Dunno shyt about him personally. But he don’t feel like a brotha. It’s much easier to play injured in hockey than in basketball as well. Much more technical basketball is than hockey in most positions.

LeBron 41 years old. You gotta let the hate go.

Lakers are going to be a contender this year. You’ll burn yourself out.

nikka u play hockey :mjlol:
He sound like it too. Reminds me of those ‘black’ dudes that be slurping their military brothers in all those online clips. Address the rampant racism in your league before you speak on a more successful, more technical, more entertaining sport than your own.

PK Subban was drafted in 2009 and made $78 million in career earnings.

Ricky Rubio was drafted in 2009 and made $130 million

Blake Griffin was drafted in 2009 and made over $250 million

Jrue Holiday was drafted in 2009 and made over $280 million so far

Maybe NHL guys should care about their money because I'm not even including Curry or Harden here.
He didn’t mention anything about money.

You not even going to try to counter his argument or just bring up how much dough he made.

Scrap the all star

Look at the NHL did most of those guys wouldn't be an all star

Too much history

I wouldn’t be surprised if seeing the success of hockey’s game and considering the Winter Olympics will be going at the same time that they try to make it USA vs World

Jokic
SGA
Giannis
Wemby
Luka
KAT
Sabonis
Siakam
Murray
Wagner
Markkanen
Kyrie (Assuming FIBA approves his switch to Australia)

World team just lacks depth after the top 5-6, especially at the guard spots

The thing is you wouldn't need FIBA
this would strictly be a NBA sanctioned event, like the nhl event the 4 nations cup has nothing to do with IIHF (hockeys fiba) or IOC

thats why you can do whatever you want

I'm honestly surprised the league hasn't done this yet, especially to promote to the international crowd and hell Americans will eat it up with national pride on the line.

Would say you could turn the whole weekend into US v World in the 3-point contest, skills, and dunk, not really sure what dunkers there could be for the world.

It will still be a lay up line. Dudes are committed to no effort

Playing against the Rising Stars. They were legit going hard
