I will believe it when the knicks are trading him.... Arguably he is taking moves from the kobe playbook to get the knicks to make some trades. The closer we get to Dec 15th and the more I hear about this confusion on the roster the more I think the knicks are going to end up giving up another damn pick to move JR and Timmy to get a better piece back.



This is why I think the knicks media aint shyt. The second they sniff the knicks trying to make a deal they throw shyt on the entire roster.

He's still Carmelo Anthony even now if the knicks just wanted expirings for him they would get a shyt load of picks with those expiring's. He is still is putting up 22 points, 4 assist, and 6 rebounds with a 20+ per. Only last season he was putting up dirk in his prime type numbers. He still has a shyt load of value.



shyt the knicks go to the bulls now with that deal the bulls still do it. trust they team owner doesn't want to pay butler for what he is doing in a contract year....... I don't either but you guys always hype other teams youth.....

I don't think the Bulls even consider a trade for Melo at this point. I just found out Melo has a %15 trade kicker, which means 3 mil more on top of the 22 he's making this season that we have to match up in salaries; that's a whole fukking lot. That means the Bulls ( or any other team) would have to gut a good chunk of their roster just to take on his contract. Plus Butler is playing like an All star right now; He's showing he's one of the league's few legit two way players in the league, and he plays elite defense at that. 20 games in i'm willing to say that his play isn't just a hot streak and is at least a sign of something, but even if his play comes down a little bit he'll still be worth a big contract.

So unless the Bulls FO strongly feel like Butler play is gonna drop off a cliff, they aren't trading him for Melo, along with the 3 or 4 other players they would have to trade to make salaries work, just so they can get an older player back and pay him more than what they would have Butler, and get less production out of Melo than they would've out of the players they traded.

Frankly Melo's gonna be hard to move in general, all things considered.
