The Odum of Ala Igbo
Hail Biafra!
Prince dropping a lot of knowledge in that interview.

The original Young Thug.
But the difference is that Rick James was actually competing with a equally or more talented peer in Prince for prominence as the top dog in R&B/Funk during the height of both artists careers while Young Thug in reality is a relative nobody within the hip hop landscape who can't even move 50,000 units.
The fact you're actually comparing the two is downright insulting.
One is the definition of quality the other is quantity.
Laughable quantity at that
Hip-hop is its own force now. It took a minute. And that’s why Jay has to succeed. Our entities have to succeed. Baby and Lil Wayne ain’t supposed to be fighting. That’s supposed to be where cooler minds sit down and say, “Check this out fellas: for all of us, stop. ’Cause we said so. Everybody’s gonna calm down.” Rap ain’t gonna be a ghost town. Nobody’s gonna shoot nobody.
Prince: Did you see Tut?
EBONY: No.
Prince: It was interesting. ’Cause that’s the way it was in the beginning. And it’s all explained out there. Remember: all of that was African. If you just look at it for its African properties, then everything’s straight. It’s all in there. Every story is based upon that story, the story of Tut and his father. They just keep retelling it in different ways. And the Bible is just the same story, that story, told different ways in several different parts in the Bible. Once you know that, then you don’t get overwhelmed by what’s in the Bible. That’s if it’s taught properly. You don’t get overwhelmed by it, and there’s nothing to fight about.
Like, this supposed to be like wings. Take you up higher. Now do your work from a higher place, get more done, cover more ground, and whoop your competitors. Comparisons with this, that and the other, we never thought of ourselves as having competition with anybody.

he's talking about Young Thug trash ass
If for some reason you're trying to imply that Rick James isn't as talented or gifted a artist or musician than Prince, then it's obvious you clearly don't know a fukking thing about music.![]()
which jay? Z ? or Electronica? would've been a wild combo with Elect in there too.Prince be droppin all types of gems
Wayne and Beatrice need to stop this nonsense, when Prince tellin you to chill out, you just do it, can't have a prodigy out here feeling upset
Kendrick and Prince prolly had convo of the yearthrow 3stacks and Jay in the room and the recording of that convo is priceless
i dont have a single problem understanding what the man was saying in the interview and i wasnt even there. So maybe you and your types of the problem? you ever think about that? perhaps your ears are not trained to listen at this frequency. Some have said he's cryptic . . I don't know man, this interview just kind of displays someone who isn't wired right. Maybe a genius but has some functional issues. A thought is born with the ambition to reach a conclusion. His concepts are hindered along the way and he suffers in the communication department because of that

and yes geniuses are always a bit crazy. they are right on the line which means they teeter on both sides often.
efficiently? or effectively? My understanding isn't the issue. You think he efficiently conveyed his points?
efficiently? or effectively?
effectively? YES. to my ears i effectively understood him.
Efficiently? i mean, sure he could've said those things in one paragraph and been on his way. but thats not the point of communication most times. except for nowadays where everything has to be a tweet. but even then people will tweet their entire 1 page point in 100 tweets. which ends up looking worse then 1 whole page.
