I'm glad I have a sister because I'm not a care giver at all. My mom would be begging to go to a nursing home if she was depending on me to do everything.

Not only is it expensive, but the treatment that people get in those crappy facilities is awful.

easy to say but shyt get real if your parent has dementia or alzheimer. Taking care of them plus trying to work is damn near impossible long term. They hardly sleep through the night and you have to keep an eye on them like a kid.

The real issue is adults don't truly save a good amount of money for retirement so when they have to go to a retirement home it's usually a shytty one. I've actually done clinical at a nice one and it's night and day. Hopefully when I get old I can get placed in a nice one if it comes to that.
