Romo would be fine on a team with a shut down D, that ran the ball alot. The problem with the Cowboys is they are trying to be like the Manning led Colts...full of all kinds of offensive weapons and throwing the ball all around the yard. If they were to commit to the run and shut teams down on D, Romo is a guy you can work with. I mean Mark Sanchez made it to two straight AFC title games following that same template. Romo is on par with Eli and better than Flacco and those guys were able to get it together for a 4 game run. I think Romo could do the same. Cowboys as an org and from a coaching perspective just make horrible moves. Signing Romo to that deal was one of them. :heh:
It might sound crazy, but outside of Witten, I don't like the Cowboys weapons. Don't like the run game. I think Dez runs the wrong routes too much. I like Terrance Williams but he's too young. Miles needs to be in the slot forever. Their OL isn't good. Their defense is ass. Jerry don't draft for the system, he drafts on talent. That shyt worked in 1995 but not in 2013-14.

Will be interesting to see what happens to kaep, Wilson, and Newton once they get big contracts

Less money will be spent on their great defenses
It depends. I think they will lose some weapons. I can see Sidney Rice and Crabtree gone. Carolina needs a WR but I don't see anyone on Carolina offense worth much outside of Cam.

Say what you will about Dez but every QB outside of Stafford, Dalton, Ryan, Cutler, and Peyton would kill to have him over who they have now. He's gone from TO to Austin when he was good to Dez now and had Witten there the whole time.

You don't like their run game because they don't run it breh. :heh: That's why teams come back on their ass all the time. Romo only has so many throws in him before he fukks up. You keep asking him to throw and you are asking for something bad to happen.

What does their offense have to do with resigning defensive players?

I dont agree with tanking either.

But NFL teams dont tank. NFL teams are bad because they are bad. It could be an injury, poor talent acquisition over a few years, etc. This isnt the NBA.

What I dont agree with in that article is a great QB changes everything. It doesnt.

It does

You can also be in HC purgatory. Ex: NY Jets
No you can't

Whats even sadder is that the 'boys have talented runningbacks, just rotting back there.

Best article I've read in a minute....what makes mediocre QB's even harder to get rid of is that coaches are reluctant to let them go. Its not likely you'll get fired after a 9-7 or 10-6 season even if you have no chance of winning it all. So might as well stick with what you got. That's why I have so much respect for Harbaugh over showing Alex Smith the bushes. I doubt there's even 3 other coaches that would've made that move but he had enough balls and brains to see that you'll never win an SB with Smith as QB and make a move on it. Yes QB's like Manning, Brady or Rodgers are rare.....but sticking with a mediocre QB when the rest of your team is SB caliber is the WORST thing an organization can do IMO

Well being a fan of the Bears, Qb Purgatory is waaay better than QB Hell. You have no idea how QB hell feels...we were in it so long that I really did not watch the offense, I just put my head down as QB's like Henry Buress launched deep balls & prayed for pass interference. Seeing passing games of 58yds is just... :to:

The Giants defense was ranked 27th the last super bowl they won they played better in the offs but the offense got em there

:what:

In those 2 runs...that D humbled NE's high powered offense twice. They knocked off the Pack's high powered offence twice. They held Atlanta to 2 points. That D stepped it up in the playoffs. It was unreal how they got their shyt together in the offs. They don't get enough credit.

That nikka is the prime example of this thread. I would make him the face of QB's like this. He reminds me of a Football version of Joe Johnson.

Not so sure about that. Ryan really should have gone to the SB last year and could have won it all too. I don't think he's as bad as folk say he is. He got a weak ass arm though, but he's still a good, young QB. He just got too much money.

I don't think so. He has had nothing to throw to his entire career. They did such a poor job developing this guy.

ATL to MEM
This is for the Andy Dalton's, Matt stafford, Matt Ryan, Carson Palmer, Jay Cutler, to a lesser extent Tony Romo. The only problem with this article is Eli Manning is in that same class of QB's imo and he has two rings. Joe Flacco has a ring as well

Except if the Falcons D played well they would have been in the Super Bowl last year. The 49ers pretty much scored non stop in the 2nd half.

#1 Pick just flat out doesnt like Ryan. I think everyone else who looks at him objectively knows he isnt the type of player this article is addressing. I honestly dont know why he doesnt like him either, its not like anyone can name a Falcons QB who was better.
