I said it a long time ago the thunder need to move on quickly from Paul, Gallo, and Adams otherwise they will be too competitive to bottom out and end up not picking as night as they should be able to. Every season a team like this overachieves and it doesn’t really do much for them.

I think the Thunder should go ahead and bottom out now even if it means trading Paul for someone who is out for the season (which is where my JOHN wall idea came from)

trade Paul for wall and let Schroeder/SGA play...Trade Gallo for a pick and something..,trade Adams for expiring and let Noel start at center and just roll with that lineup.

Team is scrappy as all hell :ehh:

Got 3 comebacks from at least 18 in the last 4 games. SGA tied his carrer high of 32 that he just set last game. Bazley got the start & did some positive stuff. Ferg ain't score but defended PG great, held him to 18 on 17 shots. Adams & Schroder been playing great. CP3 was solid everywhere except shooting but made a couple big shots at good times.

Their fine to just keep the team together this season if they can't get good deals. They have their own pick & also Denvers first so they could always package those to move around at the draft.

Gallo is the only expiring vet of value besides Noel & I heard Woj mention on some show that they could play it out this year & do a sign & trade with Gallo to help him get somewhere good since most of the good teams are going to be capped out & he doesn't really help any young or rebuilding teams. That came so far out of left field to anything else I assume it came from the Thunder to let other teams know they are content either way so they get a fair deal if they do move him :manny:

Bottom out for what? They can build on this team now. Ain't nobody in the draft taking them to a higher level. They already have a thousand 1st rounders and some really good youth on the team- basically what a tanking team wants and they already have that now and then some without even tanking. This is a small market team.. making the playoffs is good for a city like OKC. An injury or two from another team and you never know what can happen in the post season. They're the #7 seed and climbing. Why ditch all that for a few selections higher for some boogie-man draft pick that might or might not be something. Plus they can maneuver during the draft and package something and still move into the lottery field if they choose to.

ain’t nobody taking them to the next level...winning bs games isn’t going to do anything either...Getting a top pick in this draft along with the other picks will work out long term..Could mess around and develop another core like the KD/Russy years...

every season a team like the thunder comes to fruition and overachieves...And the team ends up in a worse situation. Like clock work almost...The Thunder have some good young core pieces to develop around and with the addition of a few more over the next few drafts I can see them actually being a competitive playoff team again.

This is a different NBA breh. The draft is now a crap shoot. Zion ain't even playing no time soon and he was handed the keys to everything from the jump. Not wishing anything bad especially for us but what if OKC ends up 5th or 6th seed and some injuries happen to the top 4 come playoff time? They're right there in the mix to make a run or they can dump it all and hope for a savior in the draft and lose out on what's currently happening in the league right now. The Golden States are done, ain't no clear cuts right now. You gonna abort ship right now for a prospect or two in the draft that might or might not help your team.. and if you do strike gold on a good one your team probably won't be good til 3-4 years from now. Pick your poison I guess:francis:

I’m just looking at the current team with all of the assets you guys have...Even with the draft changes being a 8th seed in the playoffs isn’t
Really a positive right now...

Zion not playing is just another issue within its self . I do know this much the thunder are overachieving and that can be a positive or negative. Could be a different way to rebuild have a veteran core surrounded by young prospects...but I’m thinking Gallo will be gone no Matter what and possibly one of Paul or Schroeder and I don’t think Andre Roberson is time playing again.
