Really a positive right now...

Zion not playing is just another issue within its self . I do know this much the thunder are overachieving and that can be a positive or negative. Could be a different way to rebuild have a veteran core surrounded by young prospects...but I’m thinking Gallo will be gone no Matter what and possibly one of Paul or Schroeder and I don’t think Andre Roberson is time playing again.

I'm not a OKC fan.. I kind of check for them to see how SGA, a former Clipper, plays..They can do whatever. Maybe they can move Gallo but I don't see nobody taking on the CP3 contract. Personally I think they should ride it out and make a move to get better. If they were under .500 I would definitely sell and build towards the future but from watching them on league pass they're only a 15 points/7 rebound player away from being in the top 4 if you ask me. With 7-10 first rounders already on deck I'd go for broke if I were them.

Their in a good spot either way this year but the last thing I want as a fan is them trying to make any right now moves. I'd be cool with playing this year out & just enjoying the ride if they can't get good deals for the vets, but any moves should be more geared towards the future because even if their better than expected they ain't winning a title any time soon. Their timeline to start heading towards being better than just good is on SGA's next deal.

Doubt anybody is going to come get CP3 with that deal during the season unless something major happens, it's just too much money to have to move around & is more of an offseason situation. Adams & Schroder are under contract for another year so they'd be easier to move next year anyway. Gallo & Noel are the only pieces they would need to figure out what their doing with right now & even then they could do the sign & trade route with Gallo.

Bottom out for what? They can build on this team now. Ain't nobody in the draft taking them to a higher level. They already have a thousand 1st rounders and some really good youth on the team- basically what a tanking team wants and they already have that now and then some without even tanking. This is a small market team.. making the playoffs is good for a city like OKC. An injury or two from another team and you never know what can happen in the post season. They're the #7 seed and climbing. Why ditch all that for a few selections higher for some boogie-man draft pick that might or might not be something. Plus they can maneuver during the draft and package something and still move into the lottery field if they choose to.

OKC can't be outbid for any star that comes along. The fact that they're doing this well speaks to a culture they have that they wanna sustain, which bodes well for them going forward if and when a player becomes disenchanted with his situation.
