The problem is, it's NOT putting it in the right context because the Nuggets have a number of defensive weaklinks, particularly on the perimeter which allow opposition teams to drive with little to no resistance into the paint. This is compounded by him being mindful of not getting into foul trouble by picking up unnecessary fouls, after all, he is their everything on offense. He doesn't have the luxury of having someone like Brook to anchor that area of the floor like Giannis does. We've all seen when Brook is out and Giannis has to defend the rim where it turns into a layup line. It's a hit piece to use actual stats to try and settle the debate on just how good or bad on defense he is on defense? I mean how dare he use actual data and put it in context instead of just throwing out some advanced stats that nobody actually knows what the measure instead of using data that breaks plays down on a play by play basis.
This is what I've been trying to reiterate to your dumbass, as we've seen in the games where Jokic has sat out this season and when he comes off the floor.
Here's some actual data for you:
When Jokic plays/on the floor the Nuggets have a top-10 defensive rating
When Jokic doesn't play the Nuggets have a bottom-10 defensive rating.
Jokic has the #1 net-rating in the league
Jokic has led his team to the #1 seed in his conference
Jokic has led his team to more wins than every other MVP candidate.
So it begs the question, why is arguably the best performer in the league this season having something like this written about him? It dispels all this bullshyt that this board believe the media is doing in his favor, does it not? It seems there's this relatively recent phenomenon where folks are going out of their way to find shyt to knock him down to size.
I don't recall this happening to any other main MVP candidate in recent times.
