Nah that 2015 team seemed morequalified than this one. They had more structure, solidified roles, and a hierarchy on offense. I’m not sure if it was you or @chkmeout that took a light jab at me earlier thos season when I responded to one of yall saying the rockets were the 2a team out of them Denver and San Antonio and said how when Houston has lost to both of them and got punked by San Antonio.


This team limitations are sever and get exposed more than any other good Houston squad I’ve seen over the last 15 years. Even when we the2 seed earlier this year it didn’t seem legit to me. Kd is legit. But everything else about this squad is really suspect. I’m probably the homerific rockets fan on this board but it’s hard for me to really get really optimistic about this team until they show some growth. Andi was saying that back. When we were healthy. Kd can’t cover up for this teams shortcomings like prime harden used to do. Hes an assassin, not a master organizer.

The real issue(outside of Ime) is our core. We need them to do better. Specifically Reed and Amen. I don’t care about the numbers Amen putting up. He has to be better. I said last season. The perimeter shot isn’t his biggest issue. It’s his halfcourt game. His one on one skill anka iso game. Amen doesn’t get doubled team. He doesn’t even see the team’s primary defender or second best defender. They throw bigs on him if they can. He gets favorable matchup in the halfcourt and doesn’t take advantage or go after it. He can’t expose bad matchups. He doesn’t get out and run in transition. Sengun went down and nobody is stepping up to fulfill some of his production loss. In previous seasons when Sengun missed games we just player faster and feature Jalen more. Now we jsut player slower and more predictable on offense. Worse spacing . Worse shooting. More dribbling.

Stone and Ime were stupid this summer. All the rockets fan kept saying go out there and get another creator. They said no. We’re good with Durant FVv and Sengun and hopefully amen and Reed. Become better pg’s. One of the stupidest plans ever and now we’re seeing the result of it. This offense looks jsut as terrible as the Silas offense. We jsut have KD to bail us out some possessions.

Reed and Amen gonna have to go through this rough patch on handling the rock.
Sengun goes down, all we got is caveman and capella...

When has amen played with a big that actually stays the fukk out of the paint like Giannis does? I feel like that’s a big part of the problem. Idc how athletic you are, it’s hard getting to the rim when you can’t shoot and there’s 2 bigs at times in the paint. The few times I’ve seen him with a true 5 out, he blows by everyone.

When has amen played with a big that actually stays the fukk out of the paint like Giannis does? I feel like that’s a big part of the problem. Idc how athletic you are, it’s hard getting to the rim when you can’t shoot and there’s 2 bigs at times in the paint. The few times I’ve seen him with a true 5 out, he blows by everyone.

Amen can direct the offense. And when Sengun is healthy and playing he’s starts on the perimeter. Thats one of rockets fans biggest complaints about Ime keeping sengun o the perimter when he should be down closer to the paint. And Adams doesn’t clog up the paint either because he’s constantly setting picks . It’s no excuse for same it be nothin but one defense between him and the basket and he constantly passes the ball. Thats my issue with amen. It’s not the three point shooting. It’s his lack of an iso attack. Get downhill and attack and force the refs to make a call.

Amen puts in the work. He was a career 60 percent shoot for the free th row line and now he’s shootng 80% for the season on career high in attempts. Keeping doin that. Attack more and either hit your layup or get the free throw line.


Last playoffs against GSW, golden state(Draymond and moody confirmed) strategy was to double and trap Jalen green, effectively. Leaving it a 4 on 3 advantage for the rockets agaisnt the warriors in the halfcourt. Amen should’ve been able to feast on that. He’s our best downhill driver j the halfcourt and he didn’t really do nothin to take advantage of that mismatch.

The way he keep attacking Dunn and Osho is how I wish he always played. He recognized the clear mismatch on the perimter and just attacked.

And you know what’s crazy. Dunn realistically ain’t no mismatch. Dude is my favorite defender that I watch regularly special athletically and stays with everyone until he fouls lol amen had dude looking like Luka
