The man definitely has bars, I’ve rocked with Ran from day one. The delivery just feels cold, almost uncomfortably comfortable. This may not make sense but to me a great MC is just another instrument. Ran bars never melt into the track or finds a pocket

I think the Nas project's gonna be fire. I think these last 2 Preemo projects have had good beats. I don't understand all the consternationAll Premier slander must cease. This mini-Alchemist run he's on is heating up. Some classic style Preem on this album. Nas definitely could have used a couple of these

Ransom can rap but there's just something missing. In an underground scene with lots of unique personalities and styles his shyt just sounds flat and generic. You need to do more than just flip some multi-syllables around to standout.
He also does one of my most hated pet peeves in hip hop where he spits a bar that he thinks is slick then has an adlib saying "damn". Bro that shyt is so annoying. Nevermind that the bars ain't that impressive but it's the music equivalent of a laugh track.

Ransom is a good writer but as an MC he just doesn’t do it for me. I don’t find his overall presence elite like I do Elzhi, Skyzoo, or even Conway.

Definitely a couple of beats on here that have a bit of an old Premo spark to them. Nothing crazy but a bit more impressive than the Marci batch.
Makes me think the Nas project might have a chance. Only thing that concerns me is how long the Nas album will be. Neither this or the Marci album hit 20 minutes.

The Nas album has been in the works for at least a year and an half, we're getting a ~15 tracks, 45 minutes album bare minimum i would think.
