Jennings never peaked IMO. His flashes in 2007 never really carried over with him being injury prone. He'll be another Javon Walker once he leaves GB. Cobb on the other hand is a play maker. I'd take Cobb over any WR we have right now. Hopefully Ross will be doing kick off returns because we dont need Cobb to take them extra hits. Oh btw,

Packers 28 Vikings 17

SMH, come on y'all, don't start shyt like this. Jennings was one of the best 5-7 WR's in the game prior to this year. How can you say he never peaked? He's been very consistent, playing at a high level for years. And I don't understand where the "injury prone" label is coming from. He missed the first 2 games of the '07 season, then (outside of sitting out the last game of that year...a meaningless game as we had clinched everything we could) he played in 61 straight games (not counting the playoffs) before missing the last 3 games last year. Only reason he missed half this year is he tried to come back too soon and further aggravated his, at the time, not so serious injury.

And there is no comparison between him and Javon. Javon was a big play threat down the field, and that's about it. If he wasn't getting big plays, then he was basically non-existant. He shoulda gave half the money he got from Denver to Brett. Jennings is the type of WR that will fit in on any offense.

I love Jennings to death. He's been 100% pure class, and is a great human being in addition to putting in work on the field. It's gonna be sad if/when he leaves. I was hoping that we'd be able to find some way to keep him, but you figure with the guys we have at WR, plus his age (in relation to the money he'll command), and the guys due to get extensions in the next year or 2, he's definitely gonna be playing elsewhere next year. I wish him all the best.

LOL you totally misread what i meant. Probably my fault for wording it wrong. Im not saying he is Javon status,im saying he'll end up like him if he leaves GB. Jennings was never a true #1 IMO. His route running was second to none though. And yes he played games but also got injured and left early in ALOT of them. Im just saying that we can afford to lose him and he's past his prime IMO.

:leon: impressed with defensive adjustments

Not impressed by offense grinding to a halt in late 2nd half with consevative playcalling :smh:

On to the 49ers, hope Kaepernick makes some mistakes!

If MM was going to do that, he might as well taken out Rodgers.

on a side note,im reading the Purple Thoughts board and they are blaming the refs for the loss :rudy:

1 down, 3 to go.

Best case scenario for me: win this week (done); win next week; play Seattle and win, then play Indy in the Super Bowl and win. #AvengeTheLosses

If our defensive front plays like they did tonight next week, and Rodgers continues to take the check downs (and MM stays with the quick hitting screens), no reason why we can't win next week.

Of course that's easier said than done. Should be a good game. Like was said, hopefully Kap can make some mistakes, and we capitalize on them.

How is Justin Smith?

I feel like our offensive line is much better at run blocking now than in Week 1 with Saturday out, Bulaga out, Smith and Barclay in.

I think MM has to call quick screens and slants. The down the field shid won't work against the 49ers ESP with suspect pass blocking.

Since the Seattle game MM has made an effort to keep running the ball even in the stretches we only got 2-3 yards a clip.

He's not going to call 10 pass plays in a row and get Rodgers killed.

Highly doubt it. Niners D has been getting styled on with that secondary. Cant hinged too much on week one game as both teams are different

It's moot if Rodgers gets sacked and MM is calling 20 yard routes on 3rd and 4 and not taking the underneath stuff

1st half tonight was encouraging with the dump offs and screens. Didn't see much of that in 2nd half

niners have had one of the most difficult schedules in the league

there rested and gb wont commit to the run, mccarthy will only do it against teams when the game is in hand
