Customers leaving.... People act like they go deaf & blind when the announcements are made and lights are going off. These fukkers still shopping with like 3 lights on.
"Sorry, maam, i'm closed. I'm going on my break."
Customer sighs and walks away with her (usually a woman) merchandise.
Come back from break

Boss: "Some lady complained that you were very rude and refused to help her with her checkout."

:dahell:This bytch saw me walking away from the register, and I said it very politely. What the fukk?

Or walking up to a manager while they are explaining over and fukkING over why they cannot break store policy.

Customer saying "This is what I want and I am the customer. It is bad customer service not to give it to me."
Doing the fukking most and threatening to call corporate, this after attracting the attention of 2-3 managers.

I swear to god some days I wanted to cut the break lines of these people.

Don't get me started on extreme coupon buffs. 10 minutes to ring all your shyt up, another 6 to scan all the coupons.

Checkout price: $1,224.98
After coupons: $313.44

:wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf:

And it wasn't always the people with the fake coupons either. This was REAL shyt!. AND they start telling me to take things off the purchase cause the price is too high

:wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf:

Both times I was hired as part time/seasonal.

First time was in 2005 I was 19 years old. Best Buy was my first job and I loved it. Loved electronics and working with people and matching them with solutions that fit their needs. There is no greater reward than people actually THANKING you for helping them spend money. I take it as a symbol of pride when customers only want to deal with me or someone from my team because they have absolute trust that their money will spent on something that will enrich their everyday lives.

So I started seasonal in Digital Cameras, from there was promoted to permanent part time in Wireless (cell phones, iPods, etc.) and then I became the "Wireless/DI Expert" which was a position that meant I was an expert of both departments, which was my full time promotion. From their I switched stores to do what's called Best Buy For Business

Me in 2005

Me in 2007 Best Buy For Business

I did that until I left the company in 2009 to join Sony as a floor manager in their newly launched Sony Style retail stores.

From there I Joined the Army for three years. But my goal was always to eventually come back to Best Buy and finish what I'd started. However. When I left the army in late 2013 all of my old contacts had either moved on or left the company so I had nobody to vouch for me. My only choice what's to start right back at the bottom as a part time employee, so I accepted a position with my old store.

Within a month I had the highest IST (Individual Sales Tracker) of any employee. From there I was promoted to Team Lead and two months later I was promoted to Geek Squad Manager. After 6 months I was promoted to Specialty Sales Manager, which means I am in charge of 40% of the stores revenue ( Phones,Tablets, Portable Audio, and Health & Fitness)

Both are complete hell. I especially hate call centers. As for service it depends on where you work. If you work in service try to do restaurants and bars. If you are attractive and sweet you can get great tips. When it comes to retail try to pick a large scale store, because you get less problems from upper management since there is so many of you guys. Also try to be on the floor and not the cash registers, because those customers will make you :angry::angry::angry::angry: I worked at a large department store and these was the shyt I got. 1. I deserve a discount. 2. I want to speak to the manger because this is too expensive. 3. I shop here a lot so I deserve a discount. 4. Um I've had this item for 5 years can I return it? 5. The line is too long where are the other workers?!!!
Smaller stores are great if you have an understanding manager.....:stylin:, but if the manager is a bytch there will be hell to pay :mjcry:. I worked at a small retail store with a crazy female manager. She bytched moan and whine every second. I had to open with her and deal with her bullshyt every second. The worse was opening at 9AM and I didn't go on break until 3PM. It was torture :mindblown:

I love my current job. I pick my hours and it is flexible. Thank the heavens:lawd::blessed:
i almost choked my manager before....seriously, bytch was taking reckless too me

:mjlol: yup, my managers and co workers were pussies...i would have to tell the customers to leave

retail left me traumatized....i go hard so i never have to do that again...i used to hate it so such, i couldn't even get out the bed in the morning

The pain in your legs after working an 8 hour shift in retail. :mjcry::mjcry:

yup....I was there 9 tho because we had to stay after and clean up everynight :scust:

OMG I remember :mjcry::mjcry::mjcry:

At the smaller store I would work from 9AM to 9PM, close, clean up, and leave at 10PM. At the bigger store I would work from 3PM to 10PM, close, clean up, and leave at 12AM. Thank goodness I left retail. :blessed:

And they have the nerve to frown at wearing gym shoes...
