While I can agree with his reasoning and his heart seems to be in the right place, at this moment paying for an actual physical album is pointless and losing all meaning of being valued as a metric for where an artist stands. Everyone streams whether they like it or not. The cost of producing physical albums might even be going up because of it. RIAA and Billboard should have been ahead of the wave while they were too busy trying to stop it from happening. I pay for google play and my streams should count towards my favorite artist's sales figure some how. I'm not wasting money on a disk when computers, laptops, and even vehicles aren't even bothering to put disc readers in them. These labels better start asking for more money from these services or kick rocks. And there's no real incentive to buy from itunes when I can't even get the booklet most of the time.
