Not at all.. i don't give a fukk if you think Rocky is a "fakkit" or not.. but if youre going to say hes a fakkit then so are a lot of fukkin rappers that get talked about and stanned.

If Rocky is a 'fakkit" so is Kanye, Biggie, Pusha T, Cam, Outkast, Future..period.
Ok whatever you say. You feel better now? Rocky is a faq, still!

Notice I didnt highlight the part where he said he doesnt really like the music. Guy was definitely talking down.

Why mention you dont give them free clothes along with adding that they have to buy the clothes (like that wouldnt be assumed when saying you dont give it to them for free)?? Just the tone (based on reading it) sounds negative. Then he adds in "Its a surprise they would even bother" :snoop:

BTW we are all sheep in one way or another if you think about it

He knows nothing about hip-hop, none of it makes sense to him. And he is saying he doesn't have a relationship with them, not sure why anything he says would raise red flags.

You guys are stuck in your own world, but imagine if you had to speak on Country or Punk Rock.

:beli: So we're only taking the first part of sentences now

It is a surprise to me that they would even bother, but I guess as our world is getting more and more commercial maybe it has become interesting to them to look into less obvious, more obscure fashion labels. Before, hip-hop used to be all about big luxury label brands like, you know, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci.

He's clearly talking about being surprised that the shift has gone from LV, Gucci to designers that aren't as mainstream.

this dude is selling basic sweatshirts for $3,000!!! t-shirts for $1,000?!?! why would someone buy this shyt???? you can go to gap, old navy or j crew and get sweatshirts of the same quality or better and spend $70. and people wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

:patrice: Dun Rick Owens the bisexual GOAT designer's shirts are way better quality you're gonna find in any store. Also the fit on his clothing is very unique compared to what you're gonna find.

Not saying I'd spend that much on any of his clothes, but you can find some of his shirts for like $100-$120, and trust me, there's a distinct difference in quality, fit, and appearance.

There are cheaper brands than him that offer a similar aesthetic though.

:heh: Rick Owens is a very creative individual in the fashion world who created his own lane and has a lot of really cool clothing. Kanye is a dikkrider who wants these fashion guys to give him a handout without putting any work in.

In his world, Rick Owens is considered one of the best designers on the planet. In his world, Kanye west is considered one of the best artists on the planet.

This would be like if Rick Owens interned for a few months at Def Jam and then screamed on stage at a fashion show begging for Kanye to give him a major label deal. Kanye hasn't done his time from the ground up. Ok, he made a shoe and leveraged a deal with a company he probably barely profits from, but sketching up a shoe that sold on hype is a hundred times different then starting a profitable line like these dudes do.

It's incredibly risky and not profitable in the early goings. I don't think Kanye has the talent to be that big n/h in the fashion world. The only thing he has going for him is hype.

His ambition is admirable, but he's delusional.

Not getting upset because a designer doesn't listen to hip hop means we love them :dwillhuh:

We aren't getting mad at him for trying to be in the circle, we're tired of dude bytching about how these designers aren't shyt and how they won't let him have full ownership but turning around and begging for them to give him money, access to their designers and manufactuers.

It's him going :pacspit: corporations, but then begging the head of Google to invest in the middle of his concerts.

I googled him. He seems pretty good at his craft, but honestly it's hard to appreciate these brands because they only make clothes big enough for skinny euros and coke headed skinny size 0 people. I'm a xxl dude, so I'm yet to be moved by this. Make some xxl shirts and then I'll be all ooh and ahh at this overpriced trash

At first I was a bit mad about it because it makes us look silly. I always refer to us because I'm a fan of hip hop and I make beats so that's why I say us. It's not about black or white or race. But anyways my point being is that it looks silly that some of the bigger names in hip hop brag and dedicate songs to these brands who don't even give us the same respect and admiration that we do for them. I'm not saying Mr Owens has to cop Illmatic on cassette but the perception is that look at these silly rappers rhyming about brands who don't pay attention to them. The perception is bad.
