Bus Driver- Thumbs

Off the top of my head, these are the main albums that actually go on a unique take on social issues without the stigma of being tryhard :unimpressed:.

Of course the occasional Dead Prez albums and even Paris :ld:

El-Ps old sample based production style was better. For example the stuff he did for Co Flow and Can Ox was really weird, dark NY grimyness.

I like some of what he does now, but it's usually unrecognizable as being the same producer who made shyt like this:

:wow:El during the Def Jux days was a man not to be fukked with on the boards.

Dude made those apocalyptic ass beats to wear a gas mask too, now it's like dude doing the most:hhh:

Lets keep it a buck and say that El peaked at "I'll Sleep When You Are Dead"

Orca's c*nt
His production doesn’t sound like anything people rapped over in the underground or anywhere else in 2007. That comment was completely dumb.

just did a quick listen through. Enjoyed it pretty thoroughly, got exactly what I want from RTJ out of it.

always thought this RTJ shyt was awful musically, this tape confirms that. it's like it's trying to be rap, rock and techno but fails at all 3

walking in the snow made me bust out laughing :mjlol:

Honestly, I like El-P's raps. Most of the sh*t he says you won't catch the first time; his rhymes are dense with meaning.

"Back in the Bearenstein timeline zip no wins for the kid oh sh*t I got curved"

"In the Berenstain rift where my Biff so sick, when the clock is lit, the whip swerve"

Dude made a reference to alternate universe theory, the Mandela effect, and Back to the Future to talk about how he went from rags to riches... in two bars. It's only "gibberish" if you don't care to discern what he's saying.
