Trade Chris Paul to the sixers for Ben Simmons. Give the sixers Chris Paul a first round and a second round . Chris Paul’s and Ben Simmons Salaries almost march up. CP3 and Embiid plus the other parts will have an floor spaced out offense. Crazy to think but not really ...Oh and Chris Paul was right

Unfortunately they’re so many forces against a buyout.

-CP3 being president of the players union can’t take a massive discount ( as players union leader it would send the wrong message).

-The thunder are notoriously cheap and buying out CP3 would put them in a cap hell for at least three years ( they can’t use more than 15 percent of their cap on a buyout so they would be financially strapped)
Cheap :mjtf: we been a top 5 most paid roster for damn near 6 years in a row.

2nd of all you can't even buy out Chris Paul because

A. Presti isn't stupid
B. A buy out can only be 15% of your salary cap like you said

I think he meant they won the trade

The timing is odd tho. OKC lost to a team that Rockets handled fairly easily, Rockets have bounced up to the second seed and all the metrics are starting to climb now with the return of Gordon and addition of Hartenstein to the rotation permanently.

I think the Rockets have to win right now, this year, or things could get really ugly for the Rockets. Russ' athleticism is starting to slip, his game is not going to age well.

OKC will do well. They've got plenty of picks upcoming. Will they get back to a championship contender? Who knows, but they'll field a good team.
