I think Rick Carlise has more influence than D'Antoni and it speeds up the Mavs rebuild. Plus the narrative.

Mavs have the pieces to make a deal.

i don't think that's a rebuild you want to be locked in for the next 4 years since your ceiling is second round exit at best.

it's crazy to see paul turn into a journey man with baggage.

For a team like the Mavs where it’s hard to get players to come there via free agency, it makes sense for them to get cp3.

I mean they just lost out Danny Greene after offering him more money and a bigger role than the lakers did.

It’s the next three years. And he comes off the books when you would think Zingis and Doncic are entering their primes and now have years of playoff wars behind them.

It don’t make sense for a ready made title contender to add Paul, but for an up and comer it makes all the sense imo.

porzingis just signed a 5 year contract and they got seth curry. they can get a great player for half of what paul will make. no need to rush bringing in a player for the sake of having a star. paul is 34. having him play with luka and kristaps would be awful for what you are paying him at that age. i wouldn't do it. trade for another player besides paul. trade for DLo or maybe van fleet since raptors will probably rebuild.

i agree with this but i still wouldn't do it if i'm the mavs. if it's another aging star with a big contract like say lowry or conley then i would go for it. i don't trust chris paul to do the young players right. he hasn't been happy on any title contender so i don't think he'll be fine with a team on the border like the mavs.

Rockets gave CP3 a $160 million contract after he blew out his hamstring, so yeah he should save those comments.

You’re 100% right but to his defense most Nba players live in a bubble and a world where there asses heve been kissed since they were 12 years old and told how great they are because of their abilities so anytime they don’t get their way or someone they know doesn’t it just doesn’t make sense to them.
