:wow: Didn't know Dirk had so many fans on here

So since it's Dirk > Durant:sas1:

Can we say Melo > Durant now as well? :sas2:

Dirk is a more consistent postseason performer and one of the least turnover prone stars in NBA history, in contrast to Durant who makes a lot of terrible decisions with the ball & often just loses his handle

Durant is a much more disruptive defensive player and probably had a better year than we've ever seen from Dirk in '14 (this is close)

KD does have a post up game. He is statistically the most efficient post up player in the league today. The issue is that he treats this as an aside rather than a go to move. In order for him to take that next step he'll probably have to take a page out of older Dirk's book and operate out of the mid-high post

THERES NOT THAT MANY SIMILARITIES TO THEM OTHER THAN THEIR PHYSIQUE AND ABILITY TO STROKE IT..

KD MAINLY LIKES TO OPERATE ON THE PERIMETER, FACING UP, PULL UPS, OFF THE DRIBBLE

DIRK MAINLY LIKES TO OPERATE IN THE MID-TO-HIGH POST, WIT HIS BACK TO THE BASKET, TURN AROUND, FADEAWAYS

TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GAMES, THEYRE JUST BOTH TALL, THIN AND CAN SHOOT

Dirk got heart.
Dirk Cried when he won a ring
KD cried when he lost.

Dirk got Jason Terry a ring
KD lost with Russy and James Harden

(this next part deserves it's own segment)

Dirk won a god damn ring coming back from 2-1 with Shawn Marion and Jason Kidd being the other big names, not even a big 3. the rest of the team were all B-players at most:
  • Jose Barea
  • Rodrique Beaubois
  • Corey Brewer
  • Caron Butler
  • Brian Cardinal
  • Brendan Haywood
  • Dominique Jones
  • Ian Mahinmi
  • Jason Terry
  • Tyson Chandler
  • DeShawn Stevenson
  • Peja Sojakovic
Plus they sent the defending champs and Kobe out of the Playoffs for good 4-1

KD ain't been back to the Finals since.

I knew posters would say "Dirk got heart/he's a winner/mentally strong" and all that bullshyt, when in reality Dirk lost in the first round 8 TIMES. In one of these loses, the Mavs were the 1st seed. that alone almost cancel out winning the championship.

Lol this is a stupid logic. NOTHING cancels winning a title as THE MAN

Why is THIS being overlooked lol. Dirk is more PF and KD is SF

Exactly....one always played like a wing player and guarded wing players.

The other is was the original stretch 4 who could put the ball on the floor at times and added a post game in his late 20s. Who always guarded PF or C.

Dirk has never handled the rock as often or like Dirk and KD has never played inside or posted up folks like Dirk.

Dirk dominated and arguably had the greatest playoff run ever to win a championship. He went up against all time greats in every round but the first and dominated. KD will never be able to do that.

So Cal
"I told myself before I left my room, I'm at my best if I don't care if we win or lose," Durant said. "It might be different for other players. But for me, I'm more free and aggressive, and it's way more fun for me if I don't care about the outcome. I know if I go out there and be who I am, the outcome will dictate itself."

:snoop:This the type of shyt that stops kd from being a goat.
