People saying it's illogical to defend Brady at all should read this report in its entirety. Idk what the truth is but I just read this entire webpage and it certainly makes quite a few points I haven't heard countered in any legitimate way. Too much text quote on my phone though.

And if there's (somehow) an appeal of the arbitrator's decision to federal court, the court would merely be reviewing the arbitrator's decision under the reasonableness standard.
The league has no more chances to prove Brady's guilt. It's stuck with its findings in the Wells report as justification for its decision to suspend Brady for 4 games.

This is administrative law, plain and simple.
The arbitrator will be reviewing the league's punishment in the appeal (under the arbitrary and capricious standard). And if there's another appeal, the federal court will be reviewing the arbitrator's decision (under the reasonableness standard). The judicial review will not be on the merits (i.e., what Brady did or didn't do) but will be on how the league and/or the arbitrator reviewed the evidence before them and made a decision. Thus, Brady will not be required to give up his phone and its contents before an arbitrator or even before a federal judge if it gets to that point. This isn't a criminal case. The league cannot attempt to prove Brady's guilt again. How are you not understanding this?
