$1400 is enough bread to make a difference in a lot of people’s life who has been struggling since the pandemic regardless of income. Just because you were making $80,000 pre pandemic doesn’t mean that you’re still making that amount now.

All levels of income got hit because of COVID-19 and not just the little guys. People just don’t seem to realize that.

1400 don’t fix bad money habits

And there are different programs to help gig workers and loss of income worker and unemployment workers and childcare and bunch of other scenarios.

The media just got off y’all complaining about 1400 cause it sounds like an immediate fix.

I’d rather be guaranteed 2800 a month until September over 1400 that would be gone the next day.

The majority of people have bad money habits and not just the people making 80K. They have the same expenses and responsibilities as people making less than them, but more money coming in. The same people defending it are the same people who will their mom and dad footing their expenses as well as the expenses from their grandkids. Ask them whether that $1,400 would make a difference.

This 1400 ain’t going to help anyone of any level who makes bad decisions. It’s to help with the challenges caused by the pandemic that has increased. Like the people not making 80,000 who still have to go into a building risking their lives and can’t work remotely.

And most people were making 80,000 got the money to get help with their bad habits.

Ain’t nobody crying when NBA or musicians who aren’t the top earners don’t make good financial and go broke. You had the time and money to get the help to make better decisions.

1400 is great but that like telling someone who is an addict that just drinking less will be a huge help. No it isn’t.

Everybody's financial situation is different. $80,000 is not a lot depending on where you live and a lot of factors that come into play. Who am I to say that they don't need or deserve the $1,400?

80,000 doesn’t go far in some places before the pandemic.

So again how is a one time 1400 going to fix that?

That $1,400 could put food on the table or keep someones car from being repossessed. It's ways that $1,400 can be spent to help someone out even if they are making $80K.

You're talking as if we are discussing someone making hundreds and thousands of dollars where the $1,400 wouldn't make that much of a difference for them. 80K ain't shyt and that $1,400 can help those people out.

It's been proven time and again that government assistance does not disincentivize work (or "bettering yourself") among the poor. I like how you hide your dumb right-wing talking points behind spoilers. The rest of your post is more right-wing rhetoric that's not supported by reality.

smh. More name calling from this stalker and continually need to makeup narratives to avoid addressing any I say, even the portion he highlighted

Nah they lowered the cap to $150K cutting out 12 million adults and 4.6 million children in the process. Dudes on here were saying that it was cool because 80K is "rich" when it's really not depending on the expenses that you have plus other factors.

This. As someone who lived in Boston recently, I can tell you that the cost of living alone is a major factor. The fact that one could make 80k in certain parts of the country and still might have to "stretch" their money is telling in itself.
