I'm not sure how they got this data and it's interpretation, because we've had stats saying that black men are the most active in their children's lives. Even if they aren't with the mom. This is more of a financial issue with single parent households as opposed to being an active parent.

“single mothers” doesn’t mean there’s no father present.

When they say “single parents” does that only apply to those who aren’t married? You can have two unmarried parents who are very involved in their kid’s lives, while you have married parents and one or both parents are minimally involved.
