you just said he wasn't df because he couldn't get a verse from kast, now you're saying he's a D member. which is it?

I swear half you cats on this board can't read for shyt. :what:

I didn't say anything remotely close to what you're saying.

I said he doesn't have the benefit of collaborations with them in their prime. Even C-D tier DF affiliates like Witch Doctor could call up Outkast or Goodie Mob for a verse back in the day. That was the major benefit of being DF.

What is wrong with you man? :snoop:

Big Boi being better now is your opinion.

Andre never falling off is your opinion.

Factually, Outkast isn't in the prime of their career. A verse from either of them in 2015 holds less weight than arguably any other point in their career....especially compared to the 90's.

Which is the whole point of what I was saying. Aside from the novelty aspect of "did you know Future is DF?!" there is literally nothing noteworthy about that affiliation in 2015.

Drake has been riding the wave of ATL's hottest rappers for a good 4 years now.

The entire Chiraq drill sound was birthed by Waka/808 Mafia.

All these guys harmonizing over trap beats are doing their best Future rendition. (Fetty Wap,Travis Scott etc..)

Damn near every mainstream rapper in the past 2 years has used the Migos triplet flow (I know they didn't invent it..but they made it pop again)

Three of biggest spring/summer songs this year are from Thug, Rich Homie and Migos. (Check,Flex,One Time)

I could go on..but the main point is...record sales mean little when it comes to ATL's run...their influence is undeniable in the past decade.

That isn't something you should brag about, despite how true it is. :francis:

Run The Jewels is not really like Killer Mike 2003 (I don't know why he should've had the recognition he gets now after like 8 albums before his debut album :what:) and is nothing like Gucci Mane , Jeezy or T.I.. The reason I mention him is cause he relaunched himself with a new sound and is from Atlanta (and New York). Just like I would mention 2 Chainz.

Run The Jewels is pretty much a side project that streamrolled into it's own being.

Killer Mike raps aint changed from Snappin and Trappin to Monster, to Ghetto Extraordinary to the Pledge Series or Underground Atlanta to Rap Music....only difference is he has El-P producing entire projects for him now.

ain't shyt wrong with me bruh, you just saying nonsense. you don't like future, leave it at that.

a verse from either holds less weight than ever? :stopitslime: dre been the hottest feature in rap for damn near 10 years now. and big boi hasn't gotten better over the years? :comeon: really? you just going out of your way to hate bruh.

everything you said is an opinion, so i don't even know why you decided to take that route. df affiliation might not mean shyt to you, but it means shyt to others bruh. i initially got into dude off the strength of his affiliation.

Pretty much this. Gucci, Jeezy, and Future have had way more influence than Kast has had on Atlanta.

Not exactly. When OutKast/DF had their run in the mid 90's through the early '00's, you didn't get much burn in Atlanta without being affiliated with them in some way. I'm speaking strictly of ATL artists and artists in GA generally. The only alternatives was Bass music and Crunk. Ludacris is the only rapper I can think of that didn't fit into any of those scenes, but still blew up. Still, he had Organized Noize production on his early albums even Incognegro. Ghetto Mafia is the only other act that I can think of that had a following without fitting into any of that either. T.I. is like the only other artist out of Atlanta (outside of Luda) who blew up without DF or being a Bass or Crunk artist.
