That's the thing, it didn't.
Not by a long-shot. Environmental factors, economic factors, pure warfare, epidemics, technological advancements of enemies, and eventually changed dynasties and slow but sure colonialism is what did it.
Mixing isn't even on the plate of reasons behind the destruction of some of East/North Africa's civilizations.
Implying it did is a complete misread of the book, as well as history as a whole.

But did the book only focus on race mixing or did it just highlight it as one of the numerous problems that led to the destruction of civilizations across Africa, albeit the mulatto problem hastened the destruction of the Nile Valley civilization? I think you need to read the book again, before coming to a hasty/myopic conclusion bore out of paralysis by analysis.

The book was about all the different civilizations across Africa. And the only place where it highlighted the mulatto problem was in Egypt and, rightfully so. The collapse of Egypt started when foreigners were allowed to settle in lower Egypt and they started inter-marrying and having kids with Egyptian women. That was when Egypt became divided into two, along racial lines - with black Egyptians occupying upper Egypt and the foreigners and their mulatto offspring occupying lower Egypt. And that was the reason why Nubians had to unite both upper and lower Egypt more than once. Also, the fact that the mulattos and these foreigners sided with foreign invaders more than once during the different invasions of Egypt adds credence to everything he wrote in the book.

Regardless, that wasn't the only problem the book cited and the mulatto problem was only highlighted in Egypt - not across Africa.

See, we see the world different, based on life experiences

I KNOW as a black man, I'm the "ice cream man", so every flavor comes from MY seed. I don't just mean color of skin, but character, and strength. So, I have the authority to taste all of the flavors. I see it as a gift to these ladies, and these hoes!

I still got knowledge of self, and use it, that doesn't mean I'm a monk, trying to do with the ills of the earth. I tried that, didn't like it, people take your good for soft. I live the way of the "intelligent hoodlum"(shout to trag), though not a hood, just love living that life. Just move different, check in!

The bolded is untrue.

This is entirely untrue, Arabs are genetically different from Asian and Africans (continental grouping is a really poor way to describe peoples) they look phenotypically similar to the two groups, but they are not genetic mixes of the two groups.

Educate me, how's it untrue?

I can cite at least four colonial wars the colonial British army fought in Africa, where a lot of soldiers were mulattos from the Caribbean and elements of the West African Frontier Force. And we can also examine those King Leopold used in committing mass genocide in Congo.

"The wide use of black agents, usually mulattoes, continued to be the white man's secret weapon in becoming masters of the black world.

When the blacks wete on top they could pose as loyal members of the blavk race -as many were in fact; or they could, having white blood, ally themselves with the whites..."

Colin Keapernick is half black, but more black than any other c00n athlete out there. So kinda of confused by that thought. I thought #HOH was for women who are actually hoes, not respectable women.

He overly examined race in the book, and drastically under-examined social stratification, developmental models based on environment, technological advances based on region, etc.
Definitely a good book, but if you have the concentration to get through it there are about 100 supplementary works you need to get through.
The fact that he writes of the "African race" by itself is the Whitest Afrocentric concept conceivable, and only something an out-of-touch AA man would think of.
Eh when it came to Egypt and Ethiopia he put alot of emphasis on race. However when he delved into the Kongo,Nigeria,Angola etc he said the cause of their destruction was desertification, social stratification and constant tribal warfare and lack of military tech advancement. It is enfuriating that with all the mineral resources Africa has that many it got surpassed by neighboring empires in military tech.

I definitely agree with that portion of the book, but he was "overemphasizing" race as a factor in the Egyptian and Ethiopian cases, hence this thread which is attempting to assert issues of interracial marriage as bigger issues, or issues equal to "actual" problems the Black community faces today like the school-prison pipeline and subsequent mass-incarceration, massive gang violence, generational poverty with roots in chattel slavery, lower-education issues, environmental issues (like in Flint, Atlanta, Baltimore, etc.)
