I don't disagree, but I also don't think that is snitching because Tip was an entertainer at that point. He wasn't slanging and with the shyts no more for years

Isn't a Confidential Informant basically someone who gives information but never blows cover?
Like what if T.I told the feds who supplies assault rifles in the hood or some other information and the feds then set up their own sting operation with that information, T.I could snitch without ever being in court

C.I. cover is blown once the feds take you to court. It's the 6th amendment. No one can accuse you of a crime without being named or coming to court. You think that the cops wouldn't just snatch up everybody they know is dirty and just say a snitch told us without ever providing the snitch? How would you and your lawyer defend that?

Snitching has to be public record. No one can point a finger at you in court without you knowing their legal name.

No one can find legal papers saying that T.I. snitched on anyone so until you have that you just clout chasing.

Not all the way true...since a lot of people plea out instead of going to trial so the ci will never get exposed

The feds also has ways to hide ci's and never expose them, I use to think it would be on pacer but a few people I know who did fed time said the feds will print out fake paper work so people can walk on the yard, redact names so the ci's can still work and a bunch of other stuff

State cases will expose names but the feds know how to hide info

I was in prison when all this shyt with Tip went down but I remember their being mixed emotions. It's interesting to hear mixed reactions from Cincy brothers too...

I never thought he snitched, because my understanding is he never fingered anybody. The average internet cat doesn't understand criminal law, in high profile or complex cases in can be a game of chess, others are very open and shut....Tip's case always appeared to be chess---->he was snitched on by his mule. It would be very easy to argue, and I thought he did, that he didn't know who the mule was buying from...

When you can afford the type of defense he had and have the backing of high profile support, this isn't hard. This isn't difficult if you are a regular guy who can present reasonable doubt with an attorney with something to prove. So I never bought into Tip as a snitch, and there's never been anything concrete to back it up, just a bunch of flimsy accusations...

My position would change if someone could support that he either explicitly identified the Cincy guy, or incriminated the Cincy guy via description; or in the gun case, if he spoke on the plug...

Outside of that, I have a pretty intimate understanding of criminal law, from a defendant's perspective. Unless those things can be established, I don't consider Tip a snitch...
