I use to run a a DJ & Photography for international "themed" weddings (arabic, african songs, those musics are hard to come by) in college. It was actually going well til i graduated started my career and all these new CPU dj started undercutting prices. My partener (at that time( is doing pretty well alone with her photography business. I was in it for 3 years... I have something in mind right about another a package type of deal but still think the market is a little to saturated.

that sounds smart the way you packaged that product. How many people were in your team?

I feel you on whole photography market being saturated right now.......im actually making moves to make photography profitable for me.

What i see tho, is even with all the saturation..........there are still huge voids in it that could be made into very profitable ventures. I also peep how most of the people who are doing photography are quantity over quality based which creates another void in the market.......

Other than that, it's really about figuring out what you can do for other people, if you have a passion there will always be a way to get paid for it, the hard part is being a brave enough to actually jump into. Obtain the skills needed for what you are passionate about and run at that shyt full speed ahead.

All ill say is that fukk the rat race but not everyone is meant to be a business owner. Putting your whole life into one thing is not smart if your not totally into it and dont have a solid plan. Its smarter to divide your time and money in a bunch of different avenues. You also gotta find people with different strengths and use those to your advantage.

Consider buying a franchise. Banks, microlenders, and the SBA have more cash than they do qualified borrowers. A large part of getting qualified is having a credible business plan and achievable performance expectations.

Two ways to go about it.

1) Have a skill


2) Have an interest or an idea and jump in blind

Example 1. My brother and his friend started a Sausage making company. My brother works for a hedgefund and his buddy is a Detective. Neither knew what the fukk they were doing going into it. All they knew was that they had a few great recipes at a high quality that local markets weren't providing. They started small and now, 2 years later, have a kitchen, office space, one full time employee, and are FDA approved. They both still have their main jobs but go to the kitchen before and after work so they can keep up with demand. ((Getting FDA approval is apparently a pain in the ass. As is keeping up with regulations and keeping their kitchen clean before and after production))

I think I'm out of advice and need to get back to my job before I get fired. Good Luck

even tho you broke this down into two things they could really be two steps. Like you highlighted the diving into it part of the plan in example two as a way to starting a buisness but even still they still had to have a product to dive into it with......which was the sausages. And in example one you focused on having a skill as a way to start a buisness........ but even with a skill you need to have a plan to make it profitable........you know what im sayin?

But your post helped me narrow my original question into............

When you say "start your own buisness", what product/skill do you have to offer and what plan do you have in mind to make that product/skill a profitable venture?

Secondly, this thread isnt about sharing secret recipes...........the thread is simply a question to the people who feel/say starting a buisness is the real road to success in this country on

1. what, if any, buisness ventures they have in mind when they make this statement

2. how and why they feel they could make that venture(s) profitable for them

3. and whatever else they want to say on the topic

There are ways to touch on all three of those things without divuluging specific gameplans ...............so dont come in here and try to fukk my thread up with your nonsense you dikkhead
