I only had 3 people in my whole team. My man's had the proper vehicle for transporting my gears and helped me set up. We also use to scout the international bars and clubs in DC to talk get an idea of what was popping in international scene (Hindi, Persian, African music all around). DMV cats should remember LOVE nightclub and their 3rd floor international night. Also using international forums to see other countries top 40. I believe the :hamster: had an international music sub-forum was on there since 06. Whenever we got an inquiry, i'll create a 15 minute personalized little mix sessions and email it to the client, they'll be :stylin: ready to open the check book up. The photographer is a chick I went to college with, she was talented AF but she had that whole "I only do it for a hobby" mentality til we broke down how much she can make after 3 weddings. She's expanded her line to "Boudoir", Baby shoots, Wedding and she 's doing pretty well. I wanted to add more value as opposed and just being an "DJ Service" I believe with services dealing with multimedia, the best way is to package them. Haven't really had time to perform a current full market analysis but definitely looking to get back into it this summer.

i really rock with the way yall put that togetherthat is really fing smart:salute:

thanks for the insight

I own an IT consulting business. We work with small businesses to implement various technologies they need. Do everything from HIPAA audits, PCI compliance, technology strategy and implementation. Depending on the job we start at $100/hr and go up. Depending on the position I'll pay my employees $15-20/hr and sub contract them out. We also do web design and I'm thinking bout moving into web marketing as another business.

I also have another company I'm getting off the ground right now. Gonna use groupon to do my marketing for me. If things work out as I hope, should make me an additional 20-30k/mo in profit by this time next year. Most my time has been going into passing my last exam, so I really ain't been putting all my energy into it. End of the year though my businesses is gonna have 100% of my attention.

At the end of the day though, most y'all nikkas don't have the discipline, work ethic, or drive to be business owners. In the 90s I was hustling bootleg movies, software, and video games. When I was college I had a side business fixing computers.

Y'all say you want to work for yourself but you really don't, because if you did, you'd be out there doing it instead of talkin bout doing it :ld:

:salute:

Personally, I can keep it real enough with myself to say I know I dont have it in me to be an entrepreneur. too much work, and too much risk for my taste.

lol.....

i got into photography like 3 years ago on a hobby tip..............so yea, my photography skills arent anything special, i learned everything i know about it off google searches and forums lol...... But im seriusly working on learning the craft now because 1. i like it 2. i see alot of ways to make money with it and 3. i dont like serving anything but the best product. So im going to go the school route with it next semester......and formally learn the craft. But even still, im getting paid to take pictures RIGHT now lol. And im talking from a couple hundred to over a grand a night taking pictures.........and this aint even my main thing............ITS YOURS lol

photography is a seed for me........one of many...........which im watering......

but you on the other hand.......youre fully blossomed and your pictures look the way they do lol. I could really go in on you and those bullshyt snapshots you take but i wont right now.......... the way i see it is, If you actually have people buying that bullshyt ur selling more power to you.....keep the scam going. You actually inspires me tho, cause im thinking "if this nikka is able to sell those trash pictures i know ill be able to feast of this once i learn it......."

So the way i talk to u has nothing to do with the pictures you take..........I speak to you the way i do because I dont like you as a person ..........youre a sucker . I just treat you accordingly.......thats all

3 years ago that means you started photography the same time as me. You're still shyt while I'm known all over the world. Vogue magazine owns the rights to a couple my snap shots. Anyways if you haven't got it by now then you'll never get it. I never tell people to stop but you should.

Cant wait to see you fail at whatever it is you try to do....I rarely dislike people but I'm glad I never gave you any type of help or information when you asked. You were never worthy of it. That's why you're asking questions online. People in the real world can feel your energy...they know you aren't worthy of receiving game as well.

The odds are against you and most people entering business are ill-equipped and destined to fail...I don't want to sound negative but almost every business owner I encounter nowadays is a complete idiot who deserves to go bust...and they honestly should go bust to remove the amount of riffraff in the marketplace

At least your honest breh. I ask myself some times if I really want to do it my damn self. Y'all cats thinking of starting a business bet not be complaining about working 40 hours a week. If you putting in anything less than 12 a day (including the weekends) you might as well start selling dope.

And please do quote what help or information i asked from you..........u wont tho cause you know its a lie. But u saying that is exactly my point........its sucka shyt..... Trying to play to the crowd to make ur response look like some real shyt even tho you know its a lie...........like i said dog....keep your scam alive, youre inspirational lol.

here's reality tho..........

i negged one of your posts because i felt it was stupid and you pm'd me asking me to tell me that you dont take the negs seriously but wanted to know why i negged you then you said some dumb shyt like "you post in the photography thread right?" as to imply we had some sort of bond because we both have cameras lol..........

Lastly, you cant shyt on me, I've done real things in this world and you haven't. You're a nobody to me so stop trying to act superior. Peace

Exactly. People make it sound like its easy then guys come look at the books to put a valuation on the company and we're just like "You want us to pay what for this?" :what:

We recently looked at a debt collection agency around here. Dude wanted some capital so came by and went through his balance sheet. The man had $4000 worth of assets and $800,000 in liabilities. Basically dude was insolvent. Didn't even know how far in debt he was or basically decided to turn a blind eye to it.

And its not uncommon. The people that make it a few years without going under are fairly lucky. Most people just don't know how to put in an infrastructure from the ground up. They build the company as a lifestyle not a business.

Me personally, I don't think I could do it. In about 10 years, I could see myself buying an underperforming company and trying to turn it around though.

From what i understand its not easy to get into the franchise game..............

im assuming your reffering to the big name franchises because those are the onese that basically sell themselves.........

Not necessarily. Pick up a copy of Inc. Magazine. They have a list of franchises in the back. Do some research and look for something in your price range (20% deposit on a loan). If you can raise/save $18-30k you can get access to operating funds.

I think most businesses can start small, from at home and grow from there. Save a couple of thousand and see what you can do from there. That way even if you fail you don't owe a bunch of money.

Dont be scared of debt. America was built off debt.

I'm on the other side of that spectrum, companies usually get at me and my team to grow the business/bottomline just so they can go public or raise more capital. The amount of resistance in these corporations is astounding and just stupid at times ....

"That won't work" :aicmon: Oh really when was the last time you implemented something like this ?

"Our customers are different" :aicmon: No they aren't they all watch porn and read National Enquirer :bryan:

That sounds scary as sh!t , $4000 assets and $800,000 in liabilities is no joke....just out of interest what was he looking for ?:krs:

That's because people want to start off with million dollar corporations. I have a lot of ideas but if I'm unable to scale them back to something I can start in my basement, then I just hold off.

I'm sure he could have started the same company on a lesser scale and grew his business or at least close it without owing nearly a million dollars.
