The issue is could Curry be doing in Jordan's generation what Curry is doing now?

Secondly, what would Jordan be like under the current rules?

fukk outta here....y'all blow that hand checking shyt outta proportion. Zone defense is just as hard to score against. Look at the pace of games back then compared to now. Teams had no problems scoring against defenders hand checking and fouling their ass off
Zones are far harder to score against. Not only is it harder to score in the half court but it slows the pace down

Jordan couldn't hit threes, what Steph is doing is built around the 3 point line, so no Jordan wouldn't be doing this. Look at LeBron, Kobe, Westbrook and prime Wade as examples of what Jordan would have been capable of, mostly Wade since he didn't take many threes during his best years.

He'd still be great, but acting like he'd score 40-50ppg in an era where the game is played at a slower pace is retarded. His highest average was 37.1 in a league with more possessions per game than today.

Can we stop with the generational comparisons between Steph and other guards please. He grew up to a different game than those guys. He is the 2nd generation of players to be born when the 3 point line was a thing in the nba.
A Steph playing in the 80's doesn't grow up practicing 3s and he doesn't shoot them at the clip he does. Just like Magic didn't grow up shooting 24 footers cause it was uneccessary back then. So it's hard to say he'd dominate any other previous Era because he grows up differently.

I know that doesn't answer the thread but it's my 2 cents.

I might have the wrong year, but I think every team but one averaged over 100 points that season. The average team had maybe 5-6 more possessions per game too.

League average was 109.9ppg and you are right, every last team in the league averaged more than 100ppg, today only two teams are scoring over 109ppg but let dudes tell it and every last team was playing air tight defense in the 80s :dead:

I don't think either heat title team with LeBron averaged that many points :russ:. Detroit in 1989 was the only team regularly holding teams under 100.

Exactly these clowns think it was impossible to score because David Wingate would put his hand on you when you tried to drive to the rim. Yet every game looked like the all star game when you saw the final box score

He averaged 22 and 20 a game on far worse efficiency. He wasn't doing that with any regularity.

22ppg at age 39 or 40 is the best scoring average EVER for his age and 51 points is the highest points in a game for anyone at that age along with the oldest to score 40,45 and 50 all in the zone era

The point is You said zones were harder to score on and Jordan was effective vs that defense when was damn near a shell of himself athletically

The first two years of the zone, Tom Thibodeau was the dude that really took advantage of the zone, and that wasn't until 2007.

Teams were reluctant to even play a zone then, the zone may have been in the league but it wasn't like it is today, recently the Mavs won a title off the back of running zone like they were a college team.
