That's because he wasHe averaged 22 and 20 a game on far worse efficiency. He wasn't doing that with any regularity.
, still able to drop 22 and 20 at that age supports breh's argument imoThat's because he wasHe averaged 22 and 20 a game on far worse efficiency. He wasn't doing that with any regularity.

So I'm guessing y'all think Curry's not even comparable to Magic at his peak either?
What you want us to talk about ahki?![]()

Apples to Apples
Russ, Dame, Wall, CP3 etc are all Steph's peers age wise and era.. No need to jump in the time machine or have him fight a bunch of ghosts...Especially when his story hasn't even been told yet...
This is the so called "Golden Era of PGs" of course...It's seems like there is enough to talk about currently, than to have to argue with a bunch of 28 year olds (that got ahold of J Playa's pops magical VCR) about the '85 Lakers...

No, you were not allowed to play zone defense prior to 2002 you'd get called for an illegal defense. It also wasn't until the 07-08 Celtics that someone really took advantage of it with how they exploited the rules of the zone, loading the strong side, 4 guys damn near in the paint at all times, ice the pick and roll. It's why the corner three started happening so often because that is one of the few things the zone did give up, and it's why your PF being able to shoot has become a necessity, specialists basically don't exist anymore, and the few that do come off the bench.
Y'all act like zones werent in the league when mike was on the wizards and he wasn't scoring 40+ and 50 at ages 39-40
Magic easily cause I have a nightly mismatch every night, period.

Leaving Mike bibby in the starting lineup through game 5 of the finals![]()
Zones are far harder to score against. Not only is it harder to score in the half court but it slows the pace down
Magic was similar to Lebron on offense except he was an even better free throw shooter (not as much range as Lebron though). Folks say magic couldn't shoot but that isn't true. Dude was a great set shooter and could kill dudes in the post.
Magic would make the shyt Draymond does on offense look like child's play. Could you imagine Magic playing point center in this league as he did at times with the Lakers.

On offense yeah sure, he'd dominate - without question. But the important thing here to remember is that if Draymond didn't have the ability and impact he does on the defensive end, whatever playmaking and scoring he provided would be meaningless, because it'd be nullified on the other end. You couldn't play Magic at the 5 or play him in an undefined frontcourt role like Draymond does because of inability to protect the rim, defend PnRs and anchor the paint.Magic was similar to Lebron on offense except he was an even better free throw shooter (not as much range as Lebron though). Jordan didn't hit 3s because he didn't grow up with 3s. Jordan's shooting form is damn near perfect. Thinking MJ wouldn't be a 40% shooter in today's era is surface level thinkingJordan couldn't hit threes, what Steph is doing is built around the 3 point line, so no Jordan wouldn't be doing this. Look at LeBron, Kobe, Westbrook and prime Wade as examples of what Jordan would have been capable of, mostly Wade since he didn't take many threes during his best years.
He'd still be great, but acting like he'd score 40-50ppg in an era where the game is played at a slower pace is retarded. His highest average was 37.1 in a league with more possessions per game than today.
