The human body isnt supposed to deal with this shyt :mjlol:

NBA careers are longer than they've ever been.

I'm tired of this conversation because the TV deals get bigger and bigger and players ain't giving back money.

The League don't want stars sitting out games when the money comes from people wanting to see stars.

Slow the fukk down.

We seeing so many 150 pt games nowadays.

This is the advanced, futuristic basketball people wanted. It comes with a cost.

Well gee who would've figured it out that playing sports increases chances of injuries

On top of this, start the season on Christmas. You play a max of 3 games per week no B2B ever. You play longer.home and road stands, like 10 straight games at home, 10 straight on the road

the third game can be neutral ground.. some Europe/asia/South America/canada games..

but coaches gotta adjust too . less scrimmage practices as well.

Football somehow getting worse too with the non-contact injuries.

The leagues trying to squeeze more and more money by putting on more games, and literally putting athletes at an increased risk to get fukked up

Yea the NFL is sickening. Scheming on ways to add more and more games to the regular season.

I dont get what does increasing roster size accomplish?

Football has it with practice squad and yet most people aren't trying to see practice squad players, ie replacement level players who couldn't make the 53, play.

The soft tissue and non contact injuries are happening a lot in every sport. Athletes are more agile than ever, they cut with more suddeness and constantly move in bursts and sprints more than ever. A lot of max effort out there.

Human body ain't built for that. And yet that's what modern team sports generally is.

The Irony of Steve Kerr complaining about the same fast paced run & gun offensive league that he pioneered. Quick cuts, screens, and jumpers is what made his dynasty.
And now he's seeing/understanding the results of it, that's not irony that's basic learning in real time :manny: it takes years to build up enough data to notice shyt like that and figure out what causes it. All the older players are spending more time with medical staff tryna figure out how to lengthen their careers so it makes sense he's more aware of it all now

Don Nelson and Mike D'Antoni had run and gun fast paced offenses way before Kerr was even a coach.

not sure pioneered anything besides taking away a lot of pg duties from the best shooter in the game and basically making him a huge off-ball threat with movement/screens so he can take a 3

this injury issue isnt really confined to NBA or basketball. look at all the injuries in football these days. its the same exact shyt, soft tissue injury and noncontact injuries

How many people have to come out and say this? Everyone knows

But they let those dumbass “back in my day” nikkas influence everything from load management/CBA deals to the all star games. Stupid fukking league bends its knee to naysayers constantly.
You mad at back in my day cats but it’s the new style of play and refusal to come to a middle ground of the old ways that is fukking everyone up :gucci: :mjlol: Deal with the injuries this is the new nba now cuz nobody is going for less games or a longer season

No they bend its knee to money. Most of these problems would be solved with a 50 game season but they won’t do that.
Really that's your solution that's 40 percent less games. Will the players take less money for playing only 50 games. They will never take a 40 percent paycut. Heck they won't even take a 5 percent pay cut. Just saying cause that's what the owners will ask for.

No one is willing to lose money. Everyone talks until it burns their own pocket. Kerr is talking out of his ass because he's trying to protect and extend the careers of his elder superstars. He's trying to justify and set up fans for load management so the warriors can continue to be mediocre for a few more seasons. Really it's a win win. He extends the careers of Curry, Draymond and Butler while being a treadmill team and still keep the fans engaged and on their seats. Everyone makes money over the long run it's all good. Except for the family that bought $300 tickets to see Curry play.
