Still failing to see what your point is. He's my goat, and I only said he's correct because I agree with him. My post earlier was in response to dumb asses saying his opinion is meaningless because he is blind.
I was speaking toward the part of you saying he experienced racism. There are other people his age with different opinions. All I’m saying is, that his opinion is one of many.

first 2 responses did not disappoint :skip:

Only hoteps and shea butter hoes wasting their time on this shyt.

If you wanna shyt on someone, shyt on mufukkaz like Kid Rock. :pacspit:

I'm still waiting for someone to explain and tell me regarding the chick who started this whole conversation, what does she contribute of significant value to the Black community other than whine? Really, that goes for any of these hoteps and shea butter tramps. Other than complain about non-issues, what do they do that is so pro-Black that anyone should give them a minute of the time of day?

Well if you don’t think that there is anything that WE can do to overcome systematic white supremacy, then just go kill yourself now and get it over with because you’ve already given up on life.
Naw not what I’m saying at all. Stating that people are saying things changed but I don’t believe they have and that’s not right.

Who is determining what is good tho? Who controls that? I don’t believe that’s coming from those that have traditionally created this music.

That was my personal opinion. Shyt has been trash lately. As I've said in the other thread, many of our current Black artists are stagnant. Nearly EEEEEVVVVEEEERRRYYYYTHANG pushed to the forefront sounds the same. Muthafukkas are lazy, lack creativity and stick to a safe formula.

I love Stevie’s work, but he is definitely on that All Lives Matter ish. I attended the Nola Jazz Fest & Stevie was talking about, “all we need is love to end racism.” Well we clearly need a lot more than that.

I don’t go in too hard on older folks, like Stevie & Cosby, b/c they grew up in a different era. They still believe that Civil Rights worked. Additionally, rich black folks can lose touch with the everyday black experience b/c they are not treated like, or victim to, the everyday black life.

Stevie can speak all day in support of Bruno, but the reality is that Stevie has already cemented his legacy. Bruno is of no threat to his exposure or his artistry but Bruno easily eraces opportunities for the next black artist...whether that be a Stevie 2.0 or Donny 2.0.

I'ma play devil's advocate here and just right here...but music is for everybody. And we need to stop equating our culture with what we see on TV. Most of it is not for us or even made by us. And lastly, black (american) culture is based on getting robbed, cheated, etc. No other group gets this upset. Like, Stephen Hawking never got the credit he deserved for inventing autotune, but you don't see his estate complaining about it.
African American music is more than just music and entertainment. It is my culture and heritage nikka. We can't help it our shyt gets exploited and shipped all over the world and the fact that it does doesn't mean it's no longer my culture or heritage.

Whites being racist hasn’t changed and it’s not going to change. Now what? It is our fault if we keep falling for the same bullshyt over and over and over.

We can help it dummy. We are complicit in our own exploitation.

This is stupid, they basically just make a show discussing different topics. It would be like having a coli panel record shyt and put it on youtube. Pulling the "well what do they offer the community" shyt is so garbage here and you know it. People can give their fukking opinions. Especially, African americans about African American music. A better question is "what does Bruno Mars do that is so pro-Black that anyone should defend him biting black music?". Why do people immediately attack black people in these situations. That sister is 100% correct in what she said, and a lot of yall keep dancing around what she said and yall strawman into other shyt.

What does Bruno Mars have to do with philipino culture? He has nothing to do with it. Has he ever even been to the Philippines? Dummy.
I was giving an example, dummy
But since you wanna be technical, retard, it’s “Filipino culture” and Bruno is half Filipino.
