Dave Meltzer has more influence than Al Snow without ever taking one bump, is my point. How was Shawn Michaels, Bret or Nash crossover stars? Bret was a B list celebrity in Canada and was treated as such there, but none of them received more mainstream publicity than Daniel Bryan. Benoit, Eddie, and Rey are mostly known for their WWE careers, but they are Hall of Famers because of ring work, especially Benoit. Theres no lane to say Chris Benoit was a better wrestler than Daniel Bryan, and in every other way, Bryan far surpasses Benoit's wildest imagination. If Bryan had no charisma, and isnt a non factor, why isnt the WWE firing him? Scared that hes the one man that would bolster the domestic market share of a company?

the fact that marks and wrestlers give him more influence is exactly what Snow is talking about.
Shawn was on other tv shows because of his popularity, HHH too, Bret national hero in canada, Nash in movies to this day.
Daniel Bryan never been in a movie, never on a tv show, wouldn't be a B list celeb in the US today, let alone be comparable to the performers I just mentioned.
Benoit, Eddie, and Rey are known for their WCW work by people my age, if you remember the WWE stuff more cool, thats on you, that said still bigger stars career wise than Bryan.

I'd say Benoit's WCW run and WWF run easily surpasses Bryan's by the very nature that the industry was simply bigger and more popular in that time frame than when Bryan became a name in WWE, Benoit was a realtively bigger fish in a bigger pond, to Bryan.

I didn't say Bryan had no charisma either, you literally just made that up. I don't give a damn why WWE hired him. Still doesn't make him any where close to a HoF to me.

Paul Heyman & Gabe Saplosky both stated that in 2010, the plan was to take over TNA, hire Daniel Bryan and build the company around him. Why do u think?
What is that supposed to mean to me? I don't care what they wanted to do.

Bout damn time Sting made it in.
I guess somehow the logic was as the franchise Sting didn't move the needle in terms of draws and ratings like NWO, Flair and Goldberg idol for WCW but Edge did in terms of ratings during the ruthless aggression era :patrice:

That was honestly the most irritating shyt, it would be like arguing some average QB on a mediocre team like Jay Cutler is better than Steve Young because he "owned" a team while Young wasn't better than Montana :stopitslime:

And vague bullshyt about how Sting "wasn't a draw" and Meltz had "done the math"... nikka I wouldn't trust your autistic ass to calculate a tip at a restaurant :russ:

Daniel Bryan was a big draw and a star. Along with being the best in ring for the past 15 years by a mile
A big draw and a star, I don't see it. Not as big a draw as old Warrior (speech the night before his death) or Goldberg or Rock.
He was a nice cult fan favorite for the WWE smarks but in the big picture he isn't anything great or legendary
Best in the ring, don't see that at all, never connected with me as a performer.

Daniel Bryan was a "cult fan favorite"? :mjlol:

That sounds more like Sandow. Daniel Bryan is probably the most popular WWE wrestler of the past 6 years for sure.

Bryan is the IWC golden boy, don't think anyone really fukks with him heavy outside of WWE and its heavy smark audience.

Shawn Michaels was a nobody..you don't know what you're talking about. We all remember Austin on that Miami Vice's dude's show. Nash Bridges. And Sting/Hogan/Flair on the damn Thunder In Paradise deal..Bret was in a Western or something But Shawn wasn't on nothing. He was a utter flop and didn't move a needle on the mainstream level. Not even close.

Benoit is NOWHERE near bigger than Bryan...he's known because of the way it ended and the end of WM XX with him and Eddie. Bryan got BIGGER than you could understand apparently in 2014..he got into the mainstream sports realm. He was no joke. That's why they started rewriting their booking for the Reigns, Cenas, Batistas...all these guys they pay over 2 million a year a piece but Bryan and his booking changes their careers? That's a non factor? Get real.
